The Wonderous World of Hahmer

Hahmer is a small continent in the middle of a great sea. There are really no solid countries, just a series of small fiefdoms that are constantly mixed up into political feuds and alliances. The terrain in very Northern-ish; long, cold winters and breif, cool summers and barely any other seasons in between. The land is covered in rolling Pine Forests and huge glass lakes with castle's and little hamlets being spotted every now and then.

Some of the most powerful fiefdoms are:

Mennd, ruled by a volitile Dwarf known as Drun the Terrible.

Tramell, with it's tragic, recent history.

and the largest and most powerful;

Yematel, ruled by a Drow Sorcerer bent on expanding her empire and is only held at bay by Tramell and Mennd.

Some of the other, less powerful fiefdoms are:
Jee
Dnemi
Loiw
Fendee
and
Quiin

Deities are based off of 4e.

Lady Dark's Character

Quinn Prentiss
Female Half-elf
20
5' 6" with sandy brown hair just over shoulder length, and teal eyes. Pale but clear complexion. Walks with a slight limp - previous injury to left knee. Only troubles her in extreme cold or not enough rest.

Typically wears a long chainmail shirt under a sleeveless brown cloth tunic and a pair of green dyed leather leggings, and soft soled knee-high leather boots that lace up the front.

Carries a pack that contains the following: bedroll, 20 ft. of rope, a torch, a metal bowl, a wooden spoon, flint and steel for fires, and waterskin.

Favors the shortsword and dagger. Familiar with bows, but not preferred. Usually has a dagger in her boot as well as one belted at her waist. Currently possesses no shortsword.

Background:

Taken by slavers at a very young age, Quinn grew up under harsh conditions which only served to strengthen her. When she was 17 she was sold to a human warlord, who took her to his lands far, far away. She made her escape a year later, killing three in her light. However, she was branded anathema, and all who assisted her would be put to death.

She was found at the bottom of a ravine with a badly broken leg, and the knee twisted. A kind stranger discovered her and took her home with him, healed her, and out of gratitude, she stayed with him several months. They had begun to fall in love when her owner's men rousted him out of the house one morning while she was off hunting, and left his slaughtered body in the yard for her to find, as a message to turn herself in

She has been running ever since. Her ultimate goal is to buy her freedom, or kill the warlord who still owns her, and find a way to honor the memory of her savior.

Takley's Character

Ta'nil

Male Halfling

23

A rogue is only in the business for their own good, most say. That is, until they meet Ta'nil. They say he is a man, no a halfman that is devoted to the people of the world without invoking the law. That is to say, he may have his moments. With the search of a man under way, he cannot stay still. He must avenge the murder, even if it is one of the governments people

Daggers are his favored weapon.

He's been a Con artist for most his life.

Clockwork Demise's character

Name: Telas
Race: Human
Age: 26
Favoured Weapon: Greatsword
Description: Tall, around 6ft, fairly lean, muddy brown hair, blue eyes, fairly sharp features. Wears an antiquated suit of leather armour and carries an ancient greatsword.
Background: Telas was born in Loiw in a small farming community. A powerful man, he was soon able to make a comfortable living from his family's farm and, after mustering enough courage, marry.
This idylic life came to an end when, mere days ago, renegades stormed accross the border, turning to banditry after their king's demise. They torched most of the farms and slew Telas' wife and child.
Heedless of the Elders' warnings, Telas broke into the town hall one night and stole the ancient relics of Amnerial Crowrthrone, a hero who had fallen defending the hamlet. Now, only seeking to avenge his family, he travels to Tramell's capital to find his sister and, perhaps some peace of mind, before beginning his quest for vengance.

OOC: Basically, Telas is a Paladin who doesn't worship a deity but instead is driven by ideals...
