darkness spawning a survival/horror rpg

heres the prologue

you lived a rather average life in the small town of linsburg. that was untill the things came anyway, the creatures came out of nowhere one night and attacked the town. they looked as if they were made out of the darkness of the midnight sky itself thier bodies were wormlike they had razorsharp teeth that glinted like steel , six stubby legs with hooked claws, on thier backs they had strange limbs with spear like stingers on them, their eyes were empty white orbs void of heart or soul, and despite how they look they were fast, but their bodies are soft and they died easily. you and a few others survived they attack , your savior was the sun, the sun desintigrated the cratures into nothingness. it was a bittersweet victory though you and your small group were the only survivors, and the creatures only attacked your town, so when police from out of town came, they didnt beleave you or the others when told what happened and all of you were placed in an insane asylum. its been 3 years now, the creatures are back and they're definatly not a figment of your imagination.

this is my first time dming at the in so please humor me.

Interesting Concept

Is there anything else a person would need to know as a player in your adventure?

As stated elsewhere I just got back to the Inn and my time over the next few weeks is severely limited.

I am kicking around an adventure concept that I may decide to run here at the Inn when I have the time to devote to it properly.

Meanwhile I am on the lookout for participating in an adventure to get my creative writing an entertaining outlet, so I will stay tuned to what develops with your adventure without making a commitment at this time.

sure

whats really important in surviving the game are these few things
time management:your safest during the day and everything revolves around using daylight effectivly, because getting caught out at night isnt going to be fun.
supplies:supplies are measured in units and at the end of each day/night cycle they are used up by a certain ammount (ie every person uses 2 units of food and 1 unit of water each day or the generator produses 15 units of energy and the lights use 5 units of energy)
travel:you cant stay in one place forever it will eventually run out of supplies for you to scavenge, you will need a certain amount of supplies and transportation for it to be risk free(those shadow creatures are not fast enough to catch a good vehicle)
placement:everywhere you go there will be several places for you to set up base each with its own pros and cons.
defences:even with a solid stone building to hide in you will need to place boards people and traps anywhere the creatures can break through.
kill everything that isnt human(and maybe kill some of them too):at night the creatures come and attack your base and any unfortunate enough to be out exploring at the time. also the sun doesnt touch everywhere and not all the humans you meet will be friendly.
combat:this is mostly a rules based game you can attempt to do anything you could in RL and a dice will be rolled this is the same for combat.
leveling:there are no actual levels but when you do a certain thing so many times (like pick a lock, use a blunt weapon,or craft a trap) you will get better at it and recieve a bonus to any roll that uses that skill

also i would be happy if someone would give the creatures a good name to go by (spoiler:there may be several variations all of which on their first encounter i will give a long rambling and detailed description of them)
oh and post atleast once a week.

it may seem like alot but it shouldnt be too much to keep track of and only major things like combat scavenging travel and other such things use up time (which is measured in hours)
