I suppose I should say an official hello...

I've been (kinda lurking) here for about two weeks now, and I figure I should actually say hello!
So.... Hello, I'm LadyAlys, I will answer to Alys. I'm from North Dakota, and live with roommates. One of which I have gotten to buy her own dice (two sets now!), but I suppose I will get there in a bit. I like snow. If I must have cold, I would like to have snow. If anything I want snow on Christmas and on my birthday, but it is only there for those fourteen days I will not complain.
My first interaction with a tabletop was at my grandma's when I was snooping in her basement and found one of the older red boxes, I wish I knew what edition it was. I haven't seen it since and fear that it may have been burned with the trash when they took out my uncle's waterbed. The next time I brushed along with roll playing was in a forum based on Knights of the Old Republic. (I have been waiting for Kotor 3 since I finished the second game didn't want it to be a mmo, but oh well.) That was followed by a string of forum rps, until my the summer before my third year of high school. When me and my best friend decided to start gaming. That DM backed out on us about twelve hours before we would have had our first meeting.
The next time I actually played was my second and third semesters of collage, we would have played this semester, however my DM skipped out on rent this summer and we had to have him go live with his parents since he also was taking a semester off, so hopefully that game will start up again sometime next year.
After I heard about the Dragon Age tabletop I decided to get it.... fortunately someone handed me the pdf for the first box. I started dming with that system toward the end of the school year, and my rent-less dm managed to have a cracked character first try around. That original group all but fell apart over the summer when most of them moving. The one person who was left of that left because the majority of those who joined afterwards wanted more character relations than fighting so he left the group.
One of those who joined up is going to be running a Shadowrun campaign. I'm excited, although I may have to be the face of the group with my roommate going the route of playing a vampire, and the other player playing a zombie. I'm sticking with a simple metatype, and naming her Glitch so I can say Glitch glitched when ones come up.
Simple things still amuse me, and there are times when my characters do things I don't intend for them to do. I might join a forum rp here, but for now I shall continue planing Dragon Age with pathfinder.
Soo... yeah... wow I didn't mean this to be so long. Hello! ^^

Welcome Innmate

Let me be the first of the Inn’s Staff member’s to welcome you to our site. As you hopefully have already seen there’s a lot to do here for sure so take your time and get comfortable with our site. There are a wide variety of AD&D rules sets in use here, even at one time a game run on the very first rules edition.. Basic .. Along with a number of varying game systems from Fantasy to the Sci-fi to the occult to plain horror there is always something for someone including even Free Form games here at the Inn.

The Inn has been around quite some time and for a great majority of us is a second home so please treat the Inn, its Staff and all it’s members with respect and we will treat you the same.

So again welcome, its always nice to have new people come to us so If you have any questions about the site feel free to PM myself or any other Staff member as needed.
Also here’s a towel, always keep it handy as Eol, another of our Staff, likes to lick newcomers and he sometimes forgets who he has licked and then licks them again .

Welcome!!!!

Well Looks like im the second to welcome you! I would be an ungracious welcome wagon if I didn't give you a towel (hold on to it, you'll need it sooner or later) and a stein with your name on it to put on the mantle in Ody's bar, for his Realm's famous Froth-n-slosh.

Forgive me this shameless plug, but I run a game here in the chat room on Tuesdays. If you like slaying dragons, the adventure we are in now would be a great one to get in on. I have an open door policy on the game room (Tiamat's Gambit) so feel free to drop in on Tuesdays 7:30 to 11pm central time. Thanks to PMed maps and the dice roller in the chat room, there is a tabletop feel to the gaming.

Well have fun, relax, or escape while you are here. If you have any questions the staff is always here to help, and you could read through THIS.

And again, I welcome you to a cool place.

Thanks!

I was going to say that Eol got me in the 'would you rather thread,' but then I continued reading. Thank you both for the towels.
Tiamat I may join in when I don't have work or , so long as you have a open door and my roommate doesn't steal her computer - like she will be after this post.
And I'm glad to be here.

Dice....

Okay Eol, thanks again. *uses towel, or both* Excuse me if I don't offer a hug this time, I just woke up.

And.... I was looking up dice superstitions/ myths so I didn't have to explain as much to people who don't play any tabletop game, or get some other feedback so they just didn't have my word and ran into one of the earlier Myth Breakers tucked into Loaded Dice. Didn't answer my question, and I never even wrote what I was going to. I continued reading, and then wandered around for a bit before I joined, then I continued to wander.

hmm...

well it seems everything has been covered...

so, er... Hiya.

yes, that's a good thing to say, aha

If you haven't read them in your lurking, might I recommend reviewing the first two threads in the 'comings and goings' section. very useful stuff.

...I'm absent-mindedly rambling, so I'll knock that off now.

Welcome to the Inn.
