Yep... I imagine that's about exactly how a Game of Thrones RPG would go.

PC: "Okay, I'm dead... but you just wait until my bastard son comes of age, rallies my bannermen, and storms out of the North to lay destruction at your gates, Lannister!"

DM: "Twelve years later...."

Nice one! Though, I never have read A Game of Thrones. Sounds like a Shakespeare tradegy.

Jing ~ I love the fact that you and your fellow players move around the table. It makes me imagine a funny little kawaii image of a dm with a book trying to herd a group of players back to the table!

There is a lot of parallel between Shakespeare and GoT. GoT just goes on longer.

thats insane.....that is unless your mothers brothers wife-twice-married has a son and he is a capable warrior of sort and then he has a son with a priestess of Solanis-then it may be possible!!

...I had a character that died in Alacrity's Continuing Where We Last Left Off and, honestly, I enjoyed the heck outta that!

I mean, sure, the fact that the character died was kind of a bummer to a certain degree, but the death scene itself and the things that happened because Jal bit the dust were just phenomenal! To this day, I think, that has to be one of my all time favorites.

Does the fact that I enjoyed a character's death make me insane? Nah... I was insane well before that happened, after all.
