A Storyteller's Welcome

Hello, all. I am MTGEmperor and I have been known by many names over the years of online forums. Just as my name implies, I am quite the Magic the Gathering player and have been playing for 16 years with little chance of stopping.

Why am I here? Oh, that is a good question indeed. I happen to tell and write stories. That is how I came across this site; I have a habit of using known games to help generate information for my stories.

I love games and I love to write. A scribe, I may be, but I do what I love. Perhaps I can gain approvals and good help for creation of material for my stories in the upcoming future. My only hope is to find other storytellers and storywriters and compare notes on the structure of a created world.

A Reader's Welcome

Hello and welcome, and allow me to be the first to welcome you to the Red Dragon Inn. There are quite the number of Magic The Gathering players here, as well as writers and storytellers both, and it is always a pleasure to have another one amongst us.

So take a seat by the fire, test our excellent variety of drinks and meals, and share your tales with the Inn!

Oh, and take this towel. It's kind of a long story, but I suspect you will need it sooner or later.

A Warm Mead to Start

You are too kind, innkeeper.

Even still, my work tends to be quite personal due to my protective nature. When I visit this site, it is usually for reference more than showcase. But I do have plans (maybe in the future) to showcase a work that can be used for the Red Dragon Inn's great bookcase.

Barkeep, may I order a warm mead?

A Big Welcome

Let me be the first of the Inn’s Staff member’s to welcome you to our site. As you hopefully have already seen there’s a lot to do here for sure so take your time and get comfortable with our site. There are a wide variety of AD&D rules sets in use here, even at one time a game run on the very first rules edition.. Basic .. Along with a number of varying game systems from Fantasy to the Sci-fi to the occult to plain horror there is always something for someone including even Free Form games here at the Inn. Also a good place to start here is “Pit F(r)iend's epic guide to getting started for newbies.”. Which itself was written by an Inn member to help new people just like you figure out how to navigate the halls of the Inn.

The Inn has been around quite some time and for a great majority of us is a second home so please treat the Inn, its Staff and all it’s members with respect and we will treat you the same.

Also seeing as I am the first of the staff to greet you, in reference to your comment about coming to the Inn for ‘reference more than showcase’. Be aware that anything you take from our site must be ok’d first by our Webmaster t_catt11 as he owns the site and secondly by the person who wrote it. Otherwise you could be liable for copy write infringement and subject to legal proceedings by the Inn and any of its members.

So again welcome its always nice to have new people come to us and I hope you’ll feel quite at home here.
So then If you have any questions about the site feel free to PM myself or any other Staff member as needed.

Also I see Celtia has already given you a towel, trust me when I tell you to always keep it handy as Eol, another of our staff members, likes to lick newcomers and he sometimes forgets who he has licked and then licks them again .

Another welcoming!

Welcome to the inn! I used to play MTG as well but lost contact with the people I played with. Anyways, we hope you enjoy the Inn!

Welcome

As the Inn's resident Artefact Creature allow me to extend my greetings.
Its nice to have another Mtg player around, and, of course, a scribe.

Remember to equip your towel.

No worries there

Tann'Talas, I understand and thank you.

What I mean by "reference than showcase," is more like inspiration. The Town Generator is what brought me here since I was trying to get a sense of town, city, and village size.

Everyone, I thank you for your warm welcome.

And yes, I equipped the towel.

*lowers towel gun*

awww was kinda hopeing to use this but you already have a towel.

as for inspiration you came to the right place, more than half of our games could be converted into books or even movies (castle rautenburg would make an excellent movie), with a little editing of course.

but please make yourself at home, take a seat, grab your self an ale and a bite to eat if you wish, and if you ever lose that towel you can always find one, theyre everywhere as we always need keep some handy for the newer inn goers.
