Blank Canvas. A D&D world created by the players.

In the beginning there was nothing but Nuham. For many years, Nuham floated about in endless nothingness enjoying solitude. However, Nuham got bored. From Energy he created Matter, and using this Matter he built a sphere. Nuham was content with this sphere for a while, and he played with it for a long time. However, he could not predict what the Matter would do, and so was surprised when it formed two more things. Land and Sea. This intrigued Nuham, and so he used more of his Energy to create more Matter, and infused it with even more Energy. This ignited the Matter, and formed Fire. This Fire was formed by Nuham into a raging ball of flames, and placed above the Land and Sea. He was content with what he had built, and called it the Sun. When he next awoke, what he found shocked him. On the Land he found Trees and Grass and all other manner of foliage. This pleased him, as his Matter seemed to be able to do many things. Suddenly, an idea struck him. What if he formed the matter to look like himself? So, from Energy and Matter, Nuham formed himself a Goddess to admire his work alongside him. Velen looked at the Sun and the Land and the Sea, and smiled. From Matter she borrowed from Nuham, she created the Elves. They where to enjoy the world for many a year, and keep to worshiping Velen as their patron, which made Nuham jealous. Nuham created the Humans to be his race. They worshiped Nuham, and he was happy. Then, from matter that had escaped or been cast off formed Sorck. He wanted a race for his own too, and so from the rocks in the land he formed the Dwarfs. Nuham, Velen and Sorck looked at the world they had created and smiled together. Then, from the anti-energy and anti-matter formed from the reactions formed the darker gods. Noblig, Cros and Sidper came to being, and formed the Goblins, Orcs and Drow races as theirs.
You are a member of one of the new settlers, fighting to survive in this new land. Will you and your fellows grow and prosper, maintaining order in the new plane? Or will you succumb to the darker side, and be crushed under tyranny and darkness until the world is snuffed out?

------------------

This is an idea that i've been trying to get started for a while. Think settlers but in D&D. I'm not sure how it's going to play out, but i'll be using the 4th edition rule set and soe random generation tables to determine what happens each day/month/year of game. Each new player will be a 'settler' in a township that is forming of people from each 'good' race and some from the more 'evil' races. If people are interested, i'll develop further, but i'd like a promise of players before I do.
Thoughts?

Intriguing

Intriguing indeed.... I would like to look over the 4th ed stuff before I agreed to anything, but I am interested in the story idea.

The Sidper thing cracked me up and made me look twice. Clever.

Very intriguing

However I don't have a set of 4th ed rules. If you'd be willing to help me convert a 3rd ed character I'd love to play

reply to which books

Its just the D&D books (PHB mainly) 4th ed, If you need i have PDF's of it that i could email to you. And also I wouldn't mind making a character for this game, if you are still looking for people?

I'm interested

My summer is lacking a certain role-playing element. I'll gladly join if you have room seeming as there is a lot of interest in this game. I'll gladly lurk your game if you have enough players.
