Yume Nikki

(uses Adventure Time thread as a template)
Ok here is an idea I had. I am wanting to make a game of one of my favorite RPG maker games(though I don'y play it much anymore)... Yume Nikki! Hehe...

The reason I would like to do this kind of thing is because with Paranoia, the Radiance trilogy, and Adventure Time, I felt I was missing out on all the fun. In Yume Nikki, the original game for RPG maker 2k3, you play as a emo girl named Madotsuki, who won't go outside her own apartment. Instead, she spends her time sleeping(the actual game) and saving her time in the dream diary(saving the game), and the objective is to get 24 effects which each one allows you to progress a bit further into the game, and then place them in the nexus to end the game.

This game doesn't seem to have much roleplay potential, but here is where my idea comes in:

In a laboratory, 5 people being the only ones there, the only door outside the room is locked. 5 beds all throughout the room with wires and helmets in each bed. When one person goes to sleep, they go into a subconscious that is then shared with everyone else. The lab is there to test the power of dreams and if it's possible to allow others into others' dreams, the test passed, but now everyone's dreams are forever the same, to where they all go to sleep and end up in each other's dreams.
Eachother's worlds...
Eachother's...
subconscious...

Anyways thats the basic background. Suprisingly for a game it has to be completely remade to have any storyline. This is just to see if anyone is interested. Thanks!

No template for characters until I hear that people are interested. Here is a link for if you need more info. about the game:

edit

I edited your post to remove the spoiler about the end of the game. I googled the game and was going to play through it, but no reason to now...

good luck with the game though!

well...

...the ending really isn't what people play the game for, and if you want an "RPG" with a storyline, STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME, it has no storyline whatsoever.
Meanwhile, the game is usually played for it's surrealism and creepiness. If I am to spoil anything it's the creepy and weird characters in the game.
