Sounds like a bad pop song

I was singing a couple lines of this all day and decided to expand it a bit. It runs like a bad pop song in my head.

Dysfunction, lots of tears.
My heart broken, these long years.
Put my walls up and tried to hide.
Wanted no one else inside.

Feel that tremble, not all fear.
Giving in, I need you here.
Hate my weakness, love your strength
Try to keep you at arm's length

How do I escape this?
Why does it feel right?
You make it so easy to give up the fight.
I'm nobody's damsel deep in distress.
Not seeking a hero, not wanting a knight.
Self rescuing princess, I've always been
How can this be happening?
You make me feel love again.

To enforce the pop song image, just repeat a couple lines a few dozen times.
