Life Lessons, pass them on

So there's a wealth of knowledge on this site, as well as quite a few "young un's" as I've seen us called. College students, high school kids, brats abound.

So, pass on little tid bits of useful lessons like:

Don't pull things out of the oven with a wet potholder, you will burn the heck outta yourself.

Don't cook bacon scantily clad, you will burn the heck outta yourself. It's the manly thing to do.

Don't wiz on electric fences. You'll.... you get the idea.

So, lay it on us.

quote

I'll quote a song that I recently learned:

Safe travels by Lisa Hannigan
Please eat your greens
and don't sit close to screens,
your eyes are a means to an end.
And I would be sorry if, due to your hurry,
you were hit by a lorry my friend.

Like you always say,
Safe travels, don't die, don't die,
safe travels, don't die.

Don't walk on ice, no matter how nice,
how sturdy, enticing it seems.
Please cross at the lights
and don't start fires or fights and
don't dabble in heights on caffeine.

Like you always say
Safe travels, don't die, don't die,
safe travels, don't die.

Don't swallow bleach
out on Sandymount beach,
I'm not sure I'd reach you in time my boy.
Please don't bungee jump
or ignore a strange lump
and a gasoline pump's not a toy.

Like you always say
Safe travels, don't die, don't die,
safe travels, don't die.

I just feel I need to say, cooking bacon naked is the only way to do so. Also the manliest way. Embrace that hot spittling fat.

ok

Never pet a porcupine

If it doesn't kill you, it will make you stronger. If it does kill you then it will make you a zombie.

Just wanna say...

I looked up that song, Almerin, and have been singing it since. Solid advice, annoyingly catchy.

Here's a tried and true lession

Live your life to the fullest as a child and a young adult because the older you get the more life sucks.

Good one

That is a good life lesson Tann. The most serious one that's been posted too.

Applies in soooo many situations...

Don't trust anyone, always carry lots of ammo, and never, ever make a deal with a dragon.

*winks*

Also applicable in many cases...

Keep your head down, eat all of your vegetables, and don't volunteer for anything. (You'll get volunteered without having to throw yourself under the bus, anyway. *grins* )

Lessons!

I fall, I rise, I make mistakes, I live, I learn, I've been hurt but I'm alive. I'm human, I'm not perfect but I'm thankful.
