Gary Gygax B-Day

Happy Birthday to Gary Gygax, wherever you are. He was one of the founding fathers of role-playing games and D&D. Weird coincidence of this is that tonight I will be playing "Tomb of Horrors" with my friends that I gamed with back in the 80's. Woohoo!

So whereever you are tonight, raise a glass to the Grand Dungeon Master.

I understand in England they are throwing two weeks of sports events and games in his honour an athletes are coming from around the world. Who knew he was so popular!

Happy B-day!

Can't raise a glass at this very moment because the imbibing of alcohol is frowned upon at work - and it's not even noon, yet - but I'll certainly heft a tankard or two in Gary's honor this evening.

@ England hosting two weeks of sporting events in the Grand DM's honor... too funny!

It was ...

..... in honor of Gary's Birthday a number of years ago that brought a group of us to the Inn from a PBM Gladiator Game to play a DnD adventure!

The game fizzled, but a couple of us stayed on at the Inn to play other games and I have enjoyed the Madness!

RIP Gary Gygax!

The Father of us All

Without Gary Gygax there would be no D&D, what more is there to say.

Happy Birthday Dad!

The London 2012 Olympics, held in commemoration of Gary Gygax!

Personally I can't think of a better way to celebrate the life of the man who brought us D&D then holding a multimillion pound sports even opened by some of my countries most celebrated sports men and women, Her Royal Majesty the Queen, and attended by 204 nations from around the world.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARY GYGAX!

EDIT: Just a clarification, England is not hosting the 2012 games. London is the host city, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Norther Island is the host country
Clarification: Great Britain is England, Scotland, and Wales... and yes, we Brits are great

Hmm...

The only problem with the Olympics is if you happen to live in London... (transport is a mess)
