Rags ???

So the Skeleton Pirates were reduced to a Cloud of Dust and Tiny Piles of Bone Splinters!

Good Thinking Tann!

Maybe enough Splinters to Burn! Maybe!

But there was Never Any Reference to the skeletons wearing anything!

It was the Paladin with his Insight from his Light Deity that the Skeletons were Pirate Skeletons!

Otherwise, the Paladin would have yelled "Skeletons!"

This seems to be shaping up as a Lesson Learned by First Level Characters that bringing Torches May Be Valuable!

Aha Tann

Great Thinking!

Bandages!

So what are the Characters wrapping Bandages around to make a Proper Torch with the Candles?

The pirate swords that way we can carry them by the pommels with out getting burned.

Now is there anything else you need to show you we have what is needed to make a pair of homemade torches??

Nope Tann

Only thing is that the Cutlasses are about a quarter mile away in a Pile, so someone or a few need to go collect the Cutlsses from the distant pile!

Workable Plan

Sounds like a Workable Plan to me!

Of Course, these actions all have to be covered in the game posts!

However, the Seekers need to decide among themselves as individuals if they are willing to use the Cutlasses from the Skeleton Pirates, who were actually former members of Mad Dog Muldoon's band of Stout Hearts!

There is a possibility that someone may be repulsed by the idea of using their weapons, especially now knowing their former identities!

Then again, it May Not Matter at all to any Seeker!

There is Wood Laying Around...........

There is wood debris laying around we should be able to find shards that could be used as torches.

In the aftermath of their battle against the Skeleton Pirates, the lack of life was more accentuated than ever, as the Seekers examined and tended to the wounds of their comrades; gathered up the weapons of their foes amidst the decaying remains of the stone and wood strewn rubble; before proceeding to investigate the sound of the Happy Water.
So with a little searching there are torches to be found.
-------------------
We also have rope to wrap around the wood to soak in wax to make a torch.

Good Eye Ody

So now you all decide just how you are going to make the Torches with shards of Wood (some of you have Daggers!) and also decide if you will be using any of the Cutlasses for your Torches! ?????

Two Cents

Further investagation of a cavern sounds good; chance to find loot, or answers.

Going back to the talk of the blast spell, my lay on hands heals exactly 2 hp, so we could save the cure light wounds for something that needs more attention.

As per the torches, Ody has made a good point regarding the debris and our use of it, and Angelic's in-game post regarding infravision provides us with a further notion of what our options are.

Adventure Ho!

Good Plan Tuned

Mylos the Gnome Bard is the only character who has Dark Vision (ability to see in the dark).

Amur the Half Elf (Elven Lineage)Rogue has enhanced vision in Torchlight, as does Crow the Elf Ranger and Elyra the Elf Bard.

Once the Blast clears away enough rubble for the characters to gain access to the steps leading down into the cavern, who enters and in what order?

Does Mylos enter by himself to have a look around, or do you send in the Rogue and Ranger (check for Traps) and possibly the Bard Elyra to have a look around by torchlight with their enhanced senses of vision ????

Or does everyone pile inside ??? And in what Order ?????

Once the area has been revealed then I can post the Map!

Order Of Travel....

Here's a thought.
Mylos first to use his dark vision (keeping the torches behind him so they don't affect his sight, Crow next to help protect, Tohmas carring a torch to help Crow see, Willem next as fighter at ready, Elyra using light to help see both ways, Areldor with lamp, Vincent at the ready, Bart with next torch and Amur watching the rear.

We don't split the party and move with caution. This keeps our fighter ready and the humans have light to see, the others use the light to enhance sight. the cleric, shaman and illusionist (basic non fighter types) carry the lights.

Sound OK?

May not get aa post up tonight, taking my mother out for her 90th birthday. Went to a wedding last and the general holiday stuff slowed down getting things earlier. So if the above sounds good we can start RP and prepare to go down the steps after they are cleared.

Hmm form blazing uh I mean flaming sword

I will use my lantern like odyson suggested. I do not want to offend the goddess Minerva by using a weapon that I can not use. She's been really good to me! I will write up a post tonight that will get me to the Happy waters.

Order

Sounds like a good plan to me, Ody. I just hope there are no traps ahead with the thief at the rear.

I think Ody

just got Mylos and Amur mixed up. Now as far as Crow moving behind Amur that's fine by me but as he is a Half-Elf and I'm a full Elf we don't need any torches to help us see. Best to keep them behind us so they can be better used by the humans of the group. More in the groups center.

Party Marching Order

Here is my suggestion on party marching order and why.

Amur-Thief-Half-Elf: Amur is the thief of the party so he has to go first. Infravision
Mylos-Bard-Gnome: Mylos is armed with both magic and a crossbow. Infravision
Crow-Ranger-Elf: Crow is armed with two melee weapons and a long bow. With Mylos being a Gnome can use his bow to fire over Mylos’s head. Infravision
Jaufre-Paladin-Human: Can provide melee support and Turn Undead if needed
Willem-Fighter-Human: More melee support
Tohmos-Druid-Human: Versatility being a Druid very good, can change as needed. Secondary healer
Bartimeous -Cleric-Human: Primary healer centralized to help all members of party as needed. Turn Undead to forward or rear.
Areldor-Mage-Half-Elf: Rear magical support. Infravision
Vincent-Knight-Human: Rear melee support
Elyra-Bard-Elf: Rear guard. Carries two melee weapons, short bow and has magic. Infravision
