The Gold............

I don't think this a Dragon lair. There are no dragon foot prints and the mud would easily show them. I think we should take the human gold and go back to Mad Dog. Then come back as leveled up to get the dwarven gold. Save the Orc gold for last.

I see the parchment as saying giants in the mountains and Orcs in the south. The dragon burned the forest around the city.

The writer is gone and we don't know where are how. He was trapped and used his ring to feed himself. He may have tried to swim out after being blocked in when the city was saked by the dragon or the Orc or the giants trying to get the gold he stole. His fault the city was destroyed.

I agree

With most of that. Mostly I'm wondering if it was just the one guy who made it down here (our theif, or whatever that 'caused' it), or if the passage goes deeper (map can't/doesn't show that much, plus in character Jaufre can't tell).

IMO

I think we should send two back to Dagger and tell them what we have discovered and the rest could poke around the underground area. Like Janfre said they may be others.

Remember

About 5 skeleton pirates were turned and not destroyed, meaning they could return (provided I did my math correctly). Even with the knowledge of the eyepatches, other dangers could also be lurking outside.

True!

Just thought of something else maybe the pirates we dispatched were Dagger and the crew. :-/

Too Many....

There were too many Pirates to be the current Crew.

I think we should dump the Orc gold and split the human gold between the two chests. We then take those back because they will be easier to carry. Remember a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

We don't want to go back empty handed with only a story of gold.

recent post

Not trying to be a super pain here, but I'm gonna push the issue. If Alredor would allow Jaufre use of his latern (so as to see), I'm sure it would only take him a few moments to ascertain what it is he's looking for (a further passage or lack thereof).

This could likely occur at the same time as the rest of the seekers decide what to do about the treasure, in regards to ody's post above mine here in the QnA (if he means to suggest that course of action in-game).

Cheers,

-T_O

Thank you Angelic

Your last post directed at Crow gave me a good laugh as your wording brought back memories of a good friend, well ex-friend really. Who used to interact with many of my characters that same way in the many games we played on the Inn and in RL.

So again thank you

Ok T.O. you got the light and a partner. Lets see what if there are any signs of life. This time I have a club not a sword to lose or get stuck.

Oh Hell no LOL

It's all good takes a lot more then that to piss me off .
Don't worry Crow will be there if needed just right now with the talk of this being a dragon's horde's there is no way he is going deeper with the gear we have with us right now.

Interesting

May take 2 or 3 days for me to get some matters lined out and type up another Post to answer your questions and reveal any, if any, consequences of your decisions!

Heh...

The "interesting..." always concerns me Hammer... I smell potential for a development...

Just to be clear, Jaufre only intends to examine the limits of the chamber, and identify any passages that may lead beyond. As the others have made the case to depart already, and he does not intend on venturing too far away from the group.

It is best to be certain whether there is a passage in which there could be survivors, as that would/could imply a need to bring medical supplies beyond that needed by the seekers, yada, yada.

...This is also the one time I (as in T_O) am happy to not have heavy armour. Pools of water, no matter how happy sounding, can still drown a Pali... but that's just me being paranoid (I hope...).
