just wondering

i was thinking,(i know that is scary and dangerous) but with the increased traffic influx to the inn. would it be worth wile to have a semi/permanent chat room open for people just to drop in and say hi/chat with inn mates or would something like that just be a waste of time?

PM notification

I know I have been away for awhile but I swear that the site used to email me whenever I got a PM. Has this service changed? If it is available still how do I turn it back on?

Thanks!

it does

Check to make sure the email is the same one or at least the right one. As well, check the spam filter of the email service you use. I know with gmail, it sometime will put things into a junk filter if you delete them alot.

Correct

You were right, my email was suddenly putting them in the Junk mail file. Thanks!

dead bug

I believe that we ended our association with the RPGshop awhile ago. Olan just has not taken down the link.

Need to take that down. It's only been a dead link for something like three years!

Subscriptions Bug

I have 'subscribed' to a few posts but have not been getting the email updates for those posts.
I'm assuming this is a bug...?

A Forum to post Variant Rules

I think we should follow the example of Unearthed Arcana (the concept of having a separate place for variant rules) by having a forum specifically dedicated to posting variant rules, classes, and the like. Perhaps someone's own re-haul of all the rules of their favorite tabletop RPG altogether?

While the DM's corner is useful, I think it would be cool if we had a forum specifically for house rules we use in most games and share them with the site. Or perhaps an option to contribute to the DM's Corner. That would be most swell.

If not in the DM's Corner, then I think it would be best located in the Creativity Forum, either just changing the description of Personal Creations or a new sub-forum altogether.

If these are not practical due to the submit-a-file forum, then I would like to suggest creating the submit-a-file forum so that it actually exists.

No, seriously, there's a link in the vault and everything for sharing "homebrew" or spell variant rules or character sheets and such, called "submit a file", but when you click on it, you get "You have wandered from the path..."

I apologize if this has already been suggested/created and I never noticed, including if such an addition to the site has already been tried before and was taken down due to a lack of use. I just really didn't want to read all 26 pages in search of my suggestion, and I have done a bit of a job to find a forum or subforum where it's clear that it would be the place to post variant rules (such as an 8-stat system or something, or a system involving 6 types of saving throws, or maybe simply just a new class?).

*fades in*

Yo. Is it just me, or is a bunch of artwork missing from the archives? I see the thumbnails, but can't get the full picture.
