Roger that

Caught me right before I sent what I believe to be final revision.

Yeah right

I think I have achieved final version too, but that always changes, doesn't it? Specially since I'm reading through all the books...

Anyway, I'm updating the dropbox file with each change, so the link I posted before should remain up to date.

Ditto that

I've also been updating the dropbox file.

I also converted my character sheet to match the style you guys are using, but I did have to make some modifications to your sheet to make it work -- I don't have all those service medals and awards you Navy/Marine types seem to get, but I do have spy info that needed a spot.

Edit: Ama how would you feel about sketching me a portrait of an engineer w/ a cyberjack in his skull and possibly a laser rifle slung on his back?

Sweet

That's a lot of equipment and skills. - Jack of All Trades 2, really? =O
Also nice to have someone who can operate the Jump Drives and more complicated computers (I didn't even get computers 0).

You need a portrait, though!

Edit: I can try!

Right?

The vast majority are listed components of the scout survival kit, I just figured listing them on the sheet would be easier than referencing the rulebook every time.

Jack of All Trades is on both of my career specialty trees, as well as some of the events. I wasn't too happy with hitting it twice, because I was hoping for another Cover ID, but it fits the general character concept so I don't mind too much.

Picked computers 0 as a background skill because I knew I'd want to be using them, especially in a TL14 setting. Glad I was able to up the rank once though, they seem highly relevant on a space ship doing survey work...

There he is

I had no idea about how exactly you wanted him to look, so I just doodled a man with a laser rifle in the back, a battery on the left leg and circuits in the back of his neck. Also gave him a lot of stuff, since you have a lot of stuff.

I love it!

Don't be mad if my character develops a crush on your character now.

Feel free

Glad you like it; I'll try to make a less sketchy face portrait for him later, like I did with my character.
By the way, is his name really Kaeroku?

I guess

I'm not all that creative with names, I tend to use the same alias across the board.

I guess I should give him a more generic-human-spacefaring-race kind of name, especially considering he's supposed to be a kind of "blend in" character... hmmm.

Alfalfa Beezlebub?
Tom Cruise?

I've got it. Jack Ofalltrades. No? Jack Sparrow?

You make a good point though. I'll think on it.

getting to know people

Just so I have an idea of who I am gaming with, maybe we can do a bit of a blurb to introduce ourselves. Most of you I have not played with on this site before.

I am Roger and I live in Toronto Canada. I am male. Don’t laugh, I had a friendship with someone for three years via the internet before I found out he was a she. I am married to Vanadia (on this site) and have two kids, MMV (age 18, also on site) and Incrediboy (age 6). For the record, Incrediboy has autism. I tell you this so you will know that if I disappear for a couple of days without answers – you know why.

I have played RPGs since 1983 and familiar with such games as D&D (1, 2, 3, 3,5), Gamma World, Top Secret, Rolemaster, Paranoia, Serenity and Ars Magica. This is my first foray into Traveller.

Blurb

And here comes big Al to ruin the fun of anonymity on the internet. Heh.

Well, not stretching it. I'm male, my name is David and I live all the way down on Brazil. I am not married to anyone on this site, nor have kids with awesome aliases.

I always liked roleplaying female characters, which is why I created this account as is. Amathiel was one of the first characters I played and really grew attached to. I play males as well, of course, but for some reason I feel I am more invested and create richer personalities when I'm writing women.

I have played RPGs since 1997 or so, not continuously. Mostly were homebrew systems, but I'm familiar with D&D 2, 3 and 3.5 and some less shiny platforms. Never heard of Traveller 'til now.

Nice meeting y'all.

I'm Me!!!

My name is Jonathon Roulston, (male) I'm a Minister in the Universal Life Church, and am happily married to my wife Tina. We have 2 kids: Tyler(7), and Jasmine(3). I currently live in Exeter Ontario, and have been in Southwestern Ontario all my life.

I have been gaming since... I don't even know... 20 odd years anyway... I started on D&D 2... and moved on to 3, and 3.5... I have also played most of the Traveller games, Gamma World, Star Frontiers, Vampire, The Wheel of Time, and some home brew games.

I KNEW it! I KNEW Padre was a padre!!

Hey. :Nervous twitching: I'm Kaeroku. I don't really like attaching real names to my aliases in public forums; no problem with sharing with all of you, just not here.

I'm 27, male, and live a few miles off of Lake Erie in Pennsylvania, USA for the last seven years. Before that I lived on the west coast.

Been playing on and off RPGs for the last 20 years or so, but much more over the last 5 or so. I'm familiar with DnD 3.5 mostly, a little Pathfinder, a little 2.0 and 4.0, and a couple of homebrews.

All told I've probably dumped around 2000 hours into RPGs over the last 5 years. I've DM'ed a couple of games, but my strength is not storytelling.

Edit: I have an engineering and military background, and run my own investment business. I've been reading for longer than I can remember, preferring sci-fi, fantasy, and historical fiction, as well as scientific journals regarding futurology and politics in non-fiction.

Edit2: No kids, never married, one long term gf who I've managed to get interested in an offline homebrew game, but otherwise doesn't play. I do apparently have a nephew on the way, we'll see how that goes. Sister lives in another country...
