Well...........

I go with the Bobby Ewing concept and make it a dream or just a tale in the common room. Then start a new tale with the four.

But I'll play how ever we proceed.

Nay never a dream

That be TOOO easy I say go on with the Tomb that way no unnecessary story buildup. Roger has this adventure already laid out why make more work for him creating a new quest.

But I'll go with the majority of course ((As long as none of them are Browns fans))

What???????

You're against the "Dallas" concept.

Figures!

BTW: It is wise to be nice to your healer!

Well Nancy

To be honest, I favour the reboot because it allows the players like Nomad to re-tool the character more to his liking. Tomb of Horror is a heavy heavy module and I am not sure 4 people can survive.

However I have been surprised before. Perhaps if I keep one of the fighter in as an NPC.

.

Could allow us to each run two characters. Would give us 8 characters.

Two Characters

I'd prefer to stick with just Max as I have too much going on in RL to try two in the same game. However I have no problem with any of the other players running 2.

I lean towards continuing the Tomb but a restart like Alacrity said would give Nomad the opportunity to fix the Mage as he wants. So it's all good to me

Okay. Got a plan

I have a way to exit the truant players without killing them that fits in the story. However that will mean no looting of bodies beyond the Bard

I will retain The Dwarf as an NPC because you need a warrior and I like dwarves.

Well that sucks!

I wanted Arien's Girdle of Frost Giant Strength

And wasn't the Bard completely disintegrated with all her stuff?

ready to go

Alrighty. A smaller party will just be harder for the enemy to find, right? Should be good. We should probably talk about how to deal with that door. Things will change here a bit, but I'm guessing we will start from the same spot. Maybe. Or maybe not.

Whichever, let the games begin. Or continue. Continue modified. But there will be games. And they will continue.

There is a prince to save!!

No "I" In TEAM........

Well so much for the trap detection of our thief... .

I was thinking that a hidden portal trap might be a way to remove the non active players with actually killing them off.

With a group of four in a REALLY hard game we need to be always thinking group instead of individual. What we run into can most likely wipe us out individually but unified defence and attacks should balance it out.

Don't blame the thief

The trap is a condition of the next room so can not be detected from the door.

Confused

Alacrity what did you mean about Traps are a condition of the next room so can not be detected from the door?

Detect traps

A thief's attempt to find traps on a door assumes the function of the trap is based on the door. Therefore if the door has a trap, or triggers a trap, then the thief has a chance to find it. However if the trap in the room functions outside the door, then it can not be detected.

Example: a pit trap on the other side of the door that is triggered by weight. No check trap on the door will reveal the pit. Same if there is a Lurker Above in the room. It can not be detected by checking the door.

I will post what happens most likely tomorrow during my lunch at work.
