Spinal Injury Compensation

Great googamooga, Thorson's spine is going to fuse as he waits in that one spot in Engineering, hovering expectantly over the status table, just waaaaaiting for someone to involve him in the action.

well...

I figure engineering will be involved when we bring the thing aboard. Right now, nothing is broken, we don't need any polarity to be reversed ... if'n you have a good idea on how the bridge can/should reasonably involved engineering, speak up!

Good News..Bad News....

The good news is that new employer does not block all sites that may come up as "Games" so I can again visit the Inn at lunch.

Bad news is I got all turned around in my researching to put together a bit more background for Lt. Reid and had to start over. I wanted to give Tann a bit more to work with.

Reid's first assignment had been on the USS Mandela, An Ambassador class heavy cruiser like Enterprise - C. After 2 years he was promoted LTJG but assigned to a small Scout ship (Saber Class) of the Peregrine on this routine business of
scaring pirates. Was he promoted and then isolated or was someone wanting him there to learn from and help the CO, another man of Justice.

Procedure

It hasn't happened yet, but in the case of Red Alert, what is Ensign Blackmon's Alert station. I'm assuming, probably rightly, that the CTO's place is on the bridge. So, where would my character report?

Also, if this escape pod is brought aboard, I expect Security would be required to respond.

yep

You are correct. In the event of a red alert, Blackmon - unless otherwise ordered by Lieutenant Rockastansky - would report to Security (deck five).

And yes, I would fully expect a security team to be called if/when we take this pod aboard.

Good post, Dox.

Sorry to hear about the car. That sucks!

Glad you're okay, though. Totally understand how RL can smack ya in the face. We were just getting worried about you. If you ever need us to NPC for you just let us know.

Long weekend

Tomorrow will be my last day of work for the week; taking vacation Friday for mah birfday.

Will have a long weekend of being intentionally FALWAL (fat and lazy without a license), so posting availability is high.

If you give a rat's patootie, and because I'm going to milk this all year, I can now start saying that for this year alone I shall be the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything.

I shall trust your geekness to get that. Heh.

Help?

I'm not really sure what all to say about the pod, tbh. I'm not as familiar with the star trek lingo and whatnot as I'd like to be, so if you want to pm me some suggestions, I'd be most appreciative.

I love this writing game concept though, it's a really thrilling read.

I also fixed my first post by adding a time. I left my latest post rather open ended to get direction on where to go from there.

agreed

Just nailed that one! Fun to read, worked in some good Treknobabble, and placed the ball firmly in Rockastansky's court.

This is the way that good Trek roleplay is supposed to work; you reveal things about your character, and by your actions, you involved other people.

Bravo.

cool

We are getting close to page three, folks. Nice start!

I promise to ratchet down the "Captain Emo" now.

I like Captain Emo!

Good solid RP stuff, there! Even if, somehow, it does lead to Tochi being the "unofficial counselor" aboard Peregrine.

Got at least one more post to add to that particular convo... since it's writing itself much like that last one did, I expect I'll have it tacked up soon.
