Tis an old Inn

I too have witnessed what Duncan speaks of, Strange times indeed when it's yourself and the elusive ghost of the Inn.

It's just a bug

When I go into dragonchat, I click the log out button of the chat, but until I click Dragonchat again, it won't log me out unless I idle out I just assumed that meant they were working on upgrading the chat as they had talked about so wasn't going to complain about it.

heh

This is a quirk - I hate to call it a bug - from long ago.

You see, users don't get booted out until the garbage collection routine runs... which only happens if someone is logged into chat.

So if you are the last person logged in and you time out or close the window, and the garbage collection doesn't pick up, it shows you still logged in. As soon as someone else logs in, it runs the routine to see how is currently logged in, sees that "ghost" is way too old, and logs them out.

The new chat won't have this quirk.

Silly, Innmates...

...that's just Eol under a sheet! In a tutu... armed with nothing but a flint spear and a shield made of bamboo...

Boo!

...

Currently getting kicked out of chat with "Sorry, but you must be logged in to view chat" less than a minute after joining. No problem joining back again, but the problem repeats.

*Edit: Problem seems to go away in a named chat?

No..No..No....

The chat is the common room of the Red Dragon Inn and as the resident bartender I see the needs of our guests. When I am away my assistant Igor is there to the food and drink. But as you may or may not know poor Igor cannot speak. His last boss, that nasty Troll over at the Orc Bar & Grill, had cut out his tongue. So if you see that someone is in the Chat but no one appears or talks its just Igor puttering around waiting to serve up some "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh" and Lady Fingers.

Well Remember......

As it may too often happen, when the boss is away the Igor may play..

He might be napping the cellar.
