well

I don't know anything about Cyberpunk so a Netrunner (whatever that is) or a Techie are probably a little too complicated for me. That leave a Med (which I think means medical type person) or Hired Muscle.

Not sure if Hired Muscle is right for a female character.

Oooh, it's ALL RIGHT!

Think Trinity from Matrix, Sarah Connor from Terminator (later ones), Judge Anderson (from Dreadd), Imperator Furiosa (from Mad Max), and a bunch of other strong female characters.

All would make good archtypes for "hired guns".

Sheesh

I really want to try out cyberpunk at some point, but my intuition is telling me to go easy on the games so I don't burn out...

Cyberpunk huh :)

Well I've always told ya Brom I'd love to be in your next one so count me in.

I'd most likely play a Croaker type character once again.

Yeah

I could play a character like that. We will wait to see what the GM decides. It seems he has a lot of interest so, he might not need everyone. If there is someone who is a better roleplayer then I would rather they take the slot than me.

Cyberpunk It Is.

I'm glad everyone is so enthusiastic about the game.

So, as near as I can tell we've got the following signed up to play:

Fixer - NPC
Solo or Nomad (Hired Gun) -
Solo or Nomad (Hired Gun) - CAPTIN-CAPSLOCK
Solo or Nomad (Hired Gun) - Tann
Solo or Nomad (Hired Gun) -
Netrunner - Ayrn
Medtech -
Techie -

Giddy, Chessicfayth, and anyone else who is interested, let me know which role you'd like to take. And thanks, Ayrn, for answering questions in my absence. I appreciate it.

Hmmmm

I'd be interested in the hired gun or MedTech! Whichever one that you don't have someone for.

Hmmm Been Debating

Been debating about throwing my hat into the ring for a Hired Gun, especially since Sal is such an Outstanding DM, but if you have others who want to play then I can gladly step aside to make room for someone who wants to play and does not have another game to play in at the moment

Cyber what?

Nice Pics there Ayrn. I could see several of those as my character.

Ok it seems I have a shot at being a Hired Gun. Is there someplace i can look at regardin the making of a character for this Cyberpunk? I assume they have skills and such and I would like to get an idea of what I want.

Question: What is Solo or Nomad? Sounds like classes or something. Is there a difference?

That's it for now. Thank you Bromern Sal for giving me a shot.

SOLO description

Solos are hired hit-men, bodyguards, and mercenaries - a lot like Jayne Cobb from Firefly. Due to their professionalism and constant training, they have the ability to perceive danger, notice traps, and have an almost unearthly ability to avoid harm.

NOMAD Description

Nomads were once corporate wage-slaves, who got fired and blackballed from employment, and now they roam the highways as Gypsies and motor-gangs like something out of a Mad Max movie. As life on the road is hard, they maintain strong family bonds. If a Nomad is in trouble, he can count on members of his family to watch his back.

Link to Cyberpunk 2020 book

Hey, I came across this link to the Cyberpunk 2020 book.

link
While I don't the character creation process, or the DarkFUZION rule system, I'd say that pgs 6-23 would likely be helpful to get a sense of the Cyberpunk world and the various "classes"/"roles" (Solo, Nomad, Netrunner, Techie, etc)

pg 34 also has a list of commonly used "street slang" words and phrases.

Hope that's helpful!
Ayrn
