johnny cabs are like from " Total recall " 

So are they remote or controled by an AI robot or can I control them?

My original idea had been to rent a car or car and driver from within the enclave and have them or I drive to a safe underground garage and eithier park or have the driver wait for me there with my full armored clothing. Then from the garage hire a cab to drop me off in front of the restaurant.Then after the meet, if I walk away, I hire a new cab roll back to the underground garage, change out of my suit and take the rented car or car/driver to the Temecula Heights to meet up with the rest of the team if they had not already rescued Vegas.

I'm open to better options but I thought driving up to the restaurent in a cab was a good for image.

CP2020 source book pg 71 under the life style... the cost for a cab is roughly 3.00 per mile

pg 74 a "corporate area car" is under "vehicles" - city car, cost is 2.00 per mile.

yes and yes.... not really

If you were going to control the vehicle... it really wouldn't be a taxi then, it would be a rental and they are going to hit you for a small but yet nominal fee...

Ok is there a possiblity inside the enclave to borrow a car? I need a secure vehicle to store my combat gear up so I don't have to return to the enclave. Maybe one of the teen's has a car and wants to make a few euro's and can watch my gear?  Plus at 3.00 per mile the closer I can get to the meet before I hire the cab the better off I will be cred wise afterwards. 

I'll look over the pages you suggested and see what cab company would be the better one. However in the end its really how Brom decides to get me to the meet. Thanks for the info.

but... we could hand on to your gear but then again... if you got into a "firefight"... you MIGHT need it?.

Your a solo... one of the last of the gunslingers in this new age. Your going to make ALOT of mistakes at the meeting and maybe act like a fool but, your a solo. Everyone knows this so it known. Me as a fixer, I should no better when to talk and not to talk until my host addresses me and never make eye contact ( if its a culture thing). I have lots of bad variables, you'll be fine. go and eat, drink and talk. 

I personally think that it might be a plot hook but I might be wrong, I have my own ideas about how to make money and things that I would like to try with the group as we are just starting to learn how to maximize our special abilities. 

Basically nothing is secure and if it was... something is worth stealing then!.
