Crowe

Unless healing was provided Crowe will need a Hit Dice rolled I assume. It would not be wise to press on without recovering the lost health.

Awesome, I'll just act out your plan as best as possible for how you plan to deal with zombies as you approach the ruins, again the zombies are really bad and the threat of death isn't too much of an issue

Shield, you get an extra 2d4 points of healing when you use a hit die, courtesy of our two healers, Sir Reynard and Doc Klick

Burning and carrying

Trossach is more than willing to help carry the elf if needed. He is big enough for it. Post coming.

during the short rest.

Can the elf burn his own hit die to put him over the 1 hp?

Doc is ok with helping go grab some backpacks if that's what having enough rations requires.. Doc has 4 left according to the list, but that's not enough to feed everyone. He'll share with morrigu and as always, take watch should that be required for a longer rest.

cool

Will put another short post in response to you nomad,

Kaelyn, Yea, he can totally spend a hit die of his own, it was only cause if you guys wanted to take that extra hour break but I think you decided for it so a short rest will happen for him and he'll heal

moving out

So, it seems we are heading into the black land. Sounds like fun . . .

Do we have a plan for zombies? Trossach has both a maul and a sky hammer (Think massive hammer attached to chain - I imagine that block of stone Azog was swinging at Thorin at the end of the Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies movie.) Both would effectively put a little distance between him and any zombie he crushed with it, perhaps enough to avoid getting splattered when they exploded in goo.

But we need to worry about hands coming out of the sand and whatever that black stuff was that got into some and turned them. Is there a way to avoid that? Does our cleric have any purify spells if something did happen? Are we planning on simply crushing them in battle under the assumption that we are that much better than the elves?

I really have no plan beyond the sky hammer. But the boss asked "what is the plan for the zombie?"s and so I suspect we need an answer.

For the DM: the maul is a long weapon with a substantial reach - would it's reach also give Trossach some protection from exploding zombies, or would he need the skyhammer for that? Am I correct in assuming the sky hammer would do so?

just saying i don't think either of the religious spellcasters have revealed they are spell casters

The maul is basically a warhammer right? I think in 5e the reach is only 5 feet..

I can use the skyhammer as the range of a whip? Basically 15 feet range i think, I'm not sure what damage to base it off of while balancing it. I think I can do it d8 maybe?

Mauls and such

I'll try to look up how the game I found them in dealt with a skyhammer and a maul.

A maul is a very large hammer - what is the reach of a longsword? This should be longer. Big.

I would think the skyhammer could do more than just 1d8 of damage. Image a war hammer swung at the end of a 15' chain. It is a bit slow. But if it hits it would be quite the strike. the whole point of the chain is to get more leverage than normal on the hammer. As I said, I'll try to find the original game description and get it to you.

This game fizzling out?

Heya guys, I know that I haven't been the most active DM but it seems like everyone is a bit busy with RL stuff.

Are you guys still interested in playing?

Edit: If no one responds within a week, I'll assume this game fizzled out. If anyone wants to restart it when they get less busy, I'd be down to do that

Nothing fizzled

Still here. Waiting to see other posts. But will get a post up in a day or two. Trossach is very much in the game. (I lied, post already up. It is short, but I don't think there is a lot to say other than "move out!")

I have to admit, however, that I have no idea what to do for a plan against the zombies other than just fight 'em. And that didn't work for the elves.

Sorry, midterm and paper week. I was waiting for others to post too, as Reynard is up for just walking through and fighting. We seemed to fare a lot better than those elves did anyways. Plus, many of us seem to lack stealth.

However, how do we want to approach the decayed lands? Do we want some scouts up ahead of us or just stay as a group?
