Decision time

Well, it seems likely that the boss and his guard were hauled off. Status unknown, of course.

Dane is probably not willing to head off into the woods with just two of the group. He'd want all 3 or nothing. Splitting the party is always bad, but especially given the size of the party. He isn't willing to die when hired to guard a wagon. As stated previously, he'd suggest hiding the ox and cart as best we can and then following the path. But if outvoted, all 3 should head off towards Phandalen. But all go together either way.

So, given that his opinion is well noted, what say the rest of you?

Marching Order

What is it? I suppose you'll be walking single file?

On the march

Do we want a warrior out front because they are strongest? Or a rogue to try and scout? I don't even remember Pavel's class - should check that out again!

I would probably recommend Pavel. He's a fighter and is the tankiest guy. He also has the highest perception of the group, though he's not proficient in it.

edit: You both have the same perception, for the record, at least at your current level.

name

I'm reading a story called the Charnel Prince that has a character named Pavel. I just thought that was funny.

Well, in that case

If Pavel has the same perception I would certainly not recommend sending a rogue out front. A perceptive tank, what could possibly go wrong?

I'd say that we go Pavel, Dane, Oskarr. Single file. That way we don't all fall for the same trap if one exists. Dane as the, presumably, least heavily armored, takes the middle and will keep his bow out.

I'd also suggest we move cautiously since we already know that at least one goblin is ahead of us. Presumably more given the tracks. So move slowly and keep our eyes out for snares and ambushes. If we move slowly, so be it.

You don't necessarily have to post unless you want to, i feel ready to make my post when i get the chance, but if you get there first or if there is something you want to do or say before setting out, have at it.

We'll see how it pans out i guess. Maybe something like if you can't post for four days we skip you or i play for you. Just throwing an idea out, im open to suggestions as to how you want to handle it.

yeah

feel free to npc Oskarr, or kill him off... or drop him at the next town and pick up some new players.

I won't be posting i don't think for those weeks i'm away. we pull into some small town twice a moth for a weekend, and i'm pretty sure i'll be busy with other stuff. if the game's still around when i get back and there's still space maybe i can play.

Keep moving

I just posted for the group to keep moving. It seemed the obvious choice. If either Pavel or Oskarr object, feel free to say so.

As for Oskarr's absence, I think we can keep going with three character, but two is hard. He could be NPC'd, but I have a hard time seeing only 2 characters being able to take on a full adventure. Then again, maybe we can. If he were NPC'd then Oskarr would be available when Norm returns.

Keep going

yeah, oskarr's keeping on. Though, I would add that I think we're all actively paying attention to our surroundings, especially now that we've come across a trap. Oskarr is definitely trying to pay attention.

Agreed. ^^

I agree with Norm. Definitely keeping an eye out for any trouble.

(sorry for the brevity of my posts. Busy) :-/

Don't apologize for post brevity

Doesn't bother me.

You three get 75 experience points each, so if you're keeping track, go ahead and add it.
