Legend of Twelve- Shadowed Time

The night was quiet, as was all the other nights before it. I watched the forest with bored eyes, occasionally Lance would try to talk, probably to kill the deafening silence. I had nothing to say, my mind drifted to the teens we had found some weeks earlier. Was she still alive, or did she succumb to that awful black nothingness. My eyes flickered to a tree that rustled, there was a light breeze tonight, but it wasn't that. I narrowed my golden eyes to try and see if I could spot what it was then sighed when a bird flew off. Still there was no sign that the old coot's were right - there was no war brewing for our City. I was just about to say such when a voice warned me, his voice.

((( So! I decided that I'd tease some of you that know about this book I've been working on for years. Feel free to let me know what you think.. even if you hate it.)))

8/10, would be teased again.*

But seriously, I've read some of the other snippets, and its still interesting. Good work.

*In the interest of full disclosure, getting a 10/10 requires either dragons or star wars-esque space fights.

*evaporates*
