Book Corner-What are your favourite fantasy books?

As reading is one of my hobbies, I was wondering if my fellow Innmates also like to get lost in a good book. Fantasy is my favourite book genre: travelling across beautiful realms, meeting fantastic characters, casting spells and experiencing epic battles! After all, in the world of fantasy, anything is possible! My favourite fantasy book series is The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. It has everything you could want in s fantasy series: elves, dragons, dwarves, magic, battles, an evil tyrannical king who must be overthrown, and of course Dragon Riders! The events and emotions of the characters are beautifully described with a wonderful level of detail that you can easily picture in your mind. The characters themselves have in-depth and very unique personalities (especially Angela, the witch and herbalist. She's strange, but in a good way!) Another favourite of mine is the Pegasus series by Kate O'Hearn. Basically for the same reasons I like Inheritance Cycle. And also the Dragonsdale series by Salamanda Drake. So, over to you! What are your favourite fantasy novels/book series, Innmates?

R. Scott Bakker

His trilogies, “The Prince of Nothing”, and “The Aspect Emperor” were the best books I’ve ever read.

Could you give me a brief summary of the plot, please? Not spoilers, of course, just generally what it's about. Thanks!
