RDInn Youtube

Dear roleplayers and storytellers of the RDInn,

Long have we had archives filled with short stories, art, parody songs and poetry. It is time to add a new category to this list: film.

If you have any videos/animations of your own making, on the subject of Fantasy or Sci-fi, feel free to let us know, and we'll be happy to put it up on our:

Red Dragon Inn Youtube
We would love to put all the files here on the inn, but we don't have enough space. That's why the external site.

So, contact your local rdinn moderator: Almerin.
I'll discuss the technicalities of uploading videos with each interested user.

Right now we have only 3 videos. Go have some fun!

Video size

If you're video is too big, which can happen often: try using a program for compressing your file with a video codec.

There is an easy-to-use program that you can download for free, called 'RAD Video Tools'.

you can find it here.

ooooh

ooh, Grugg-horrorness! Looking forward to that.

and Tann, I don't think you can upload pictures to Youtube. But if you make a video, or a picture-compilation video, that would work

Thats an Idea

Thats not a bad thought actually be nice that everyone here at the Inn who wants too can get an idea of who and what went on at the Con.
I still hope we get alot of Inn members to make it as I have just recieved a Voucher for discount tickets in the mail and it can be used for group or single tickets.
(Got to post that on the Con thread too )

i look forward to seeing any submissions!

Just thought i might add:

If anyone needs/wants to know how to make an animation, they can just ask me, or Almerin.
All you need is a photo camera and either Windows Movie Maker or Adobe After Effects. Movie Maker is much simpler, and makes your animations a LOT smaller (aka: upload friendly). Most people have Movie Maker standard on their computer these days. So check around for it.
As for Adobe After Effects, you can download the trial version from their website, or you can get it other ways. But yea, I recommend Windows Movie Maker for the time being.

You can also make animations using programs like Paint and Photoshop, or Flash in place of using a camera. Computer art, ya know.

Hi Fantasy

You know its funny everytime you come on the Inn the Aldo Nova song "Fantasy" runs through my head .

Yeah like I said above I will be sending Pic's of the Con to Al so he can turn them into a slide show for all members. Should be neat..

hehe

I discovered a program called e-on Vue, version 6 xStream. It makes 3D environments and you can make animations with it.

Guess what I did?

Right, I made a RDInn video, and uploaded it to our YouTube account. We almost forgot we had such a thing!

anyway, keep an eye out for it, it's being processed right now, and will be up for watching very soon.

And don't worry about bandwidth or something, it's only 300 kb (well, it only lasts 10 seconds, so it shouldn't be much).
