Hey Floyd

Check what Darque posted at the bottom of page 17 in the Q&A thread which is copied and pasted below:

[According to Darque]I think we should stick to the original plan with a few changes.

Group 1 go to the mayor's home and seek out what he knows.

Group 2 do what was originally posted for group 3 by looking over houses and looking for clues (and in the process try and find Deathstalker-which you would do because he is in your group).

Group 3 will head over to the temple. If Gunther told us they worshipped Merikka in this town, Valerus is the more likely candidate to go than Elkin because she is a nature goddess, unrelated but akin to Beory (my druid's patron goddess).

I will wait for reactions/rejections before I post anything.

***** Floyd, you need to re-post at An Evil in Orlane because you are in Group 2 and are no longer going to the Temple!

Posting

It seems trip made his last post on the other Forum - when he gave us the details of what the farmer said. We now need each group to post thier plan on the other forum. Or, Darque can give an overall.

I don't mean to sound impatient - i'm ok with the pace of things, thats how this works. I just think I remember someone writing that we were waiting for trip to post again, but I think we need to give him some direction first.

So for the Mayor's house group - Hammer - are you going to post for us?

Group Postings

Looks like each group will need to elect someone to take the lead and post specifically what the group is doing.

A bit of detail in the posts would be useful. Not too useful just to say "we're going to stick with the plan and go to the Temple". How will the team get there? Are they traveling with weapons drawn? Are they looking for anything along the way? What formation are they walking in?

But first and foremost, someone will have to post for each group. From what I can tell, the designation is:

Group 1 = Hammer
Group 2 = ???
Group 3 = Darque

Gunther on the move ...

... okay guys!

The following is a cut and paste from the final 4 paragraphs + the additional italicized paragraph letting Trip know what Gunther is doing in my last post at An Evil in Orlane:

"Norwell does not know why anyone would leave this place with all the great quality of farming this land offers," Gunther states with a grim and determined look on his bearded face, "but I for one aim to find out just what is going on here that has the local people terrified of strangers!"

Gunther looks each of the adventurers in the eye and declares, "There is still plenty of daylight left. I aim to pay a call on the good Mayor Ormond at his big house on the south of the lake so that we can become acquainted and he can answer a few more questions. Anyone who wants to come with me is more than welcome."

The young Paladin reaches for his back pack and puts it in place, then grips his Medium Shield in his left arm/hand and starts to withdraw his Broad Sword, but figures it is best to keep his weapons sheathed for the time being in case some of the people in Orlane are scared enough to shoot an arrow at any strangers walking through town with drawn weapons, instead of asking questions first.

"Just let me know right now which one of the inns to meet you at later," says Gunther as he takes a few steps in the direction of the lake, then stops and turns for both an answer to his question and to see who exactly will go with him to pay a call on mayor Ormond, "and it might be a good idea for some of you to go find DeathStalker before he gets himself in trouble!"

Gunther waits long enough for the group to decide which inn for the young Paladin to rendezvous at before nightfall and for which adventurers will accompany him to go pay a courtesy call on Mayor Ormond before Gunther proceeds in the direction of the lake

***** I sent Darque an Email the other day asking him which inn to rendezvous at but it seems he has fallen off the map!

Must be getting close to time for his wife to be giving birth to their first born!

Anyway it is going to be 10pm over here in a little while and I need to get some sleep!

I will get up early on Friday and post something further at An Evil in Orlane after I check to see if anyone has posted any further information!

Daylight is burning and we need to get to the Mayor's house!

MIA a few days. . .

My new roll up just arrived at 8 lbs 0 ounces and 20" long on Wednesday. Baby is doing fine, but mother is not. I have been and will be at the hospital for the next few days so someone else will have to be designated group speaker for a the time being and also the spokesman for group 3.

Sorry for any inconvenience guys, but it is what it is.

Baby Darque and Momma Darque

I will be going to our fellowship in the morning and will request additional prayer for your wife!

Meanwhile, I will stay up a little while longer and pray for her!

CONGRATULATIONS

Group 3 movement

Well with Darque out of action for a while I can speak for group 3 if no one cares. I would take the group to the north as there is no point for all 3 groups to go the same way through town. Let me know what you guys think and I will post something.

Congrats to Darque on the birth of his child and my thoughts are with you and your wife hoping for her recovery.

Following Valerus

I think you may have to be a little more specific on how we are getting to the Temple Darque.

Group 3

I am fine with you being spokes person Wretch. North route is fine with me. I can be last in the group to watch out for things behind us.

Darque posted that group 3 will head to the temple. He didnt post how we were going to get there. Since he is going to be absent for a few days can we have it assumed that we went north around the lake to get there?

Direction

Yep, North it is. He sent me a post saying he would be out a few days and said he would take the most direct route. So I am going to say North which is fine.

Ok, Here is what I have..

Group 0 - Deathstalker - I am going to update his post with the farmers. Everyone else will be a bit behind Deathstalker as he left when group 1 went into the inn. So I will make his post first.

Group 1 - Gunther, Sentinal, Fandil, Oriel - to the Mayor taking the east road. - Gunther will be the spokesperson for the group, but I would still like to see everyone post whenever they can and make input. Sometimes being led by a paladin could be a bit of trouble for various reasons. I have specific posts from Gunther and Sentinal in the game itself. Fandil and Oriel are going to be generic until they post in game. Posting in the Q&A is fine but until your character reacts in game it will be hard to see/tell what your characters are doing/thinking etc. It makes it hard for me to get a feel for your characters. I would like to know if the group is just going to make a beeline and not stop and look at other houses, or will they interact with anyone they see? Etc..

Group 2 - Aelbric, Doogan, Elkin, Katai - This group will be wandering the town. I need to know the direction you want to take be it north or east. Katai has been the only person to post for this group so far therefore is now the leader of said group ;-). From what I gather you will be doing a close inspection of each landmark/home in the town. I have yet to hear from Aelbric, Doogan or Elkin in the game itself. Again all 3 will basically be genericlly played until they post in game.

Group 3 - Kyuss, Haiden, Stings and Valerus - This group will head to the Temple via the North road. Again I would like to know if you are going to interact as you go, or just look at the buidlings as you pass. Currently I have heard from every player in the game which is great, although its tough to get a feel for your character with one liners ;-). Kyuss is the leader/speaker for this group until Valerus returns (in game).

Group 4 - Shadowdragon. I will be making a seperate post for you in the game. Look for it after I reply about the ones above.

If I have all of this right let me know. I pieced it together the best I could from the posts here and the ones in game. I will begin posting probably tommorow sometime if everythign looks ok.

A new roll-up

Congrats Darque!

Let me be the first to suggest a classic name: E-Snee, Donatello, Silverflash, Villiage idiot. All classic names for a new roll-up!

As for the game - we need to decide what to do with the donkey and wagon. One of the groups must bring it with. Oriel can bring it along if desired - they are just going to the mayors - a logical place to leave it outside. Or was another group heading towards an inn?

Of course, if we took it we could hide Senitnel in amongst the baggage. That way when threatened he could jump out in a vicious halfling power rush and save us! all!

Ok, maybe not.

One Liners

Yeah, did that at work without any information in front of me. I'll go back and edit that post with some back story... Please apply it to the present path.
