Following up

I am with you too... lets head over there and see what we can spot. We may want to get a marching order set up if there is a path we have to take. I'll be posting later since I'm in the middle of returning home from an out-of-towner.

Group 1 Who should go first?

I think it should be someone who can detect clues and traps inside the building!

Perhaps Gunther could walk around the outside of the building by going to the right and come around to the outside of the back door where the stairs are leading down to the pitch black cellar?

So I will wait and see who posts first and what they do and then decide accordingly!

***** I read Trip's post again and noticed that the steps leading down into the cellar are rotting, so if either Sentinel or Fandil is not opposed to be lowered down by a rope to examine the cellar, then Gunther is willing to supply one of his torches to shed some light on the investigation!

Sentinel will take a Small lead

If deemed appropriate, Sentinel is willing to lead at the moment. (Which really means post.)
He would set the following actions......
set three (Garrus, Katai, Fandil) to examine the room - blood, damage, clues, other door, other rooms, etc
take three - Sentinel, Gunther, Oriel to examine stairs and prelim basement look, would post Oriel with the bow mostly intent on Gunther/Sentinel stair work, but also for all in general - would light Gunther torch and have him hold it as far into steps as possible - first looking for clues, etc, then tieing rope on Sentinel for Gunther support in case stairs break and gentle down with Gunther holding rope and torch

ok???????????????????

Group 1 Sentinel sounds good ...

..... to me as locating traps etc is your character forte!

I will wait on your role play post and then write my own role play post within the parameters of your post in Orlane!

Oriel oks the plan

Oriel is ok with the plan as outlined by Sentinel. Just be sure to specify that we look around at dust and such before anyone enters and messes things up.

Post away.

Sentinel The Small will post soon .....

With 4 of 6 in the group concurring on the action, the halfling will post within an hour. We hope to get some action going!

The man with the nose ...

..... smelling the swamp is definitely onto something!

The steps are sturdy and the two smallish doors appear to lead to pantries is what Trip posted, but since we already have been informed by Mayor Ormond that Lizard Men sometimes attack Orlane, then we may be able to locate a hidden passageway from whence those scaley culprits have entered the premises!

Perhaps Oriel can direct us to where the Swamp smell seems to be leading or coming from and we better be ready to call out to our comrades to come down if Sentinel is able to detect a hidden doorway!

Thoughts anyone?

Hey Trip is there ...

..... some kind of control at your disposal where you can cause "The games I play in" to show that I am playing in An Evil in Orlane in my profile and also list the players in this adventure when someone reads the An Evil in Orlane storyline?

serious Sentinel The Small

says - let's gather the six together and search the basement - but leaving one on guard at the head of the steps, I will search for traps and hidden doors .... and the great "sniffer" can follow the smell .....nothing was said about what it looked like when the Katai group looked out the back door upstairs, so, I would re-add that - shall I continue to take the "lead" until we exit this dump? Others .......?

Group 1 Gunther says ...

..... that Sentinel should probably continue searching and that Gunther will be close by holding the torch for light and to also provide that 10 foot protection aura!

Gunther also has his BattleAxe drawn and held in his right hand as soon as Oriel mentions the smell of swamp, which Gunther remembers Mayor Ormond mentioning Swamp Lizard folk raiding Orlane from time to time!

Obviously carrying a torch Gunther is unable to weild his Medium Shield, but the Torch in his left hand and the Battle Axe in his right hand will serve him well for now!

If there are any type of candles or torches in the cellar that Gunther can ignite with his torch to provide more light, then he will do so!

I will leave it up to Sentinel to write the first post and then write my role play if there is time before Trip updates the Orlane storyline!

impressions of the old man?

the weasel might be a familiar or he might just be friendly with animals. i think it best that we kind of fan out. have the druid and ranger out front to ask questions both asking to keep him from focusing on just one. i have spellcraft Prof. so i'll watch to see if he casts any spells and keep my magic missle ready.

First Floor

Deathstalker has a lantern and oil if you guys are interested.

I like Sentinel's plan. I think Sentinel should check rooms for traps before anybody enters, then I'd be okay to investigate. DS will be ready for action whenever needed.
