Blatantly Obvious Lies

So, I've loved this thread forever everywhere I find it, and I want to share it with my fellow inn-mates. It goes like this. Ask a question. Post a completely eroneous, fabricated, and blatantly obvious Lie for an answer.

EXAMPLE:
Why is the sky blue?

Because I ran out of black in my crayon box.
Why do ducks fly south?

ETC. Play on.

Because...

...if they flew before the rainbow it'd be really difficult to tell that they were actually blue.

.

Becuase there is a government program out there to make everything taste like chicken so you will buy it because two years ago a straw poll indicated chicken was top flavor of the world....2nd place was beef bullion cubes.

Why is everything always in the last place you look?

Why did #2 pencils win the pencil number war?

Hmmm

#2 pencils won as #1 pencils were the prototype and had a wood core with graphite around it.

Why do we let people "borrow" toilet paper and not just "give" it to them; do we expect to get it back later?

Reduce, re-use, recycle!

Because most folks only use one side of the toilet paper. If we just let them borrow it, we can get it bak later and use the side that's still good. Save a tree! Save a whale! Save the spotted owl (unless you like imitation crab meat).

I can't belive it's not butter! Why not?

Udder Butter

The reason you can't tell if it is real butter or not is that even our real butter has been treated with color dyes plus we are so inidated with fake foods such as spenda for sugar, magerine for butter, dheetose disquised as snacks (all good gammer fare) That we don't have the slightest idea what real food tasted like except raw vegetables

Why doesn't water run uphill?
