I've been dealing with personal issues, but I'm ready to keep going.

How high up is the camera? Could I climb up to it?

Subject: Echo keeps watch

"Ready", Echo says, and nods to the others, anxious to get out of the busy streets and into the sewers. Too many folks about her makes her nervous, as she prefers the open roads and wastelands to the overcrowded cities. The sewers weren't going to be open land, but at least they're less populated. She takes a casual, yet vigilant stance leaning against a wall, fingers fidgeting within her pockets, ready to spring into action.

My deepest apologies for not posting last week, I had a severe case of real life hit me. Things are better now, and I'm moving forward.

If Echo were to look again at the sewer map, is there an entry point in an alley that might be a bit farther away? Or maybe within one of the abandoned buildings?

Subject: Nibbles and planning

***"I want a drink to start," Blossom pipes up from around her sucker. "Got any cola?"***

"A cola for me as well, please", Echo says, sitting in a chair with her back to the wall.

***While the group waits for their companions to arrive, Blossom looks up the Bartholomew School for Advanced Studies' events schedule.

--------------------------------------------------

Within Maggie's Grill, Ghlahn, Blossom, Echo, and Bloodbank have been nursing their drinks for approximately twenty-minutes by the time Vegas and Fixer arrive.

"Where's your partner?" Blossom pokes the ice in her glass with her index finger and watches it bob up and down in the brown liquid Julieta had refilled moments earlier.

"We ran into a bit of a problem outside the Rat Pack. Casino got himself shot up pretty bad. He stayed behind to let the cops patch him up, while using his 'Casino Charm' to throw them off our scent while we proceed with the task we signed up for."

"Nice to see you too Doll."

"Chill," the wardriver replies. "You're not at all concerned about the integrity of our run, are you?"

"Well Doll," continued the Chairman, "no need to worry your pretty little head about my concerns.

"We did manage to meet Starlight and get the hardware that Casino ordered. Fixer has all Casino's heavy duty firepower. I have the Taser.

"Starlight managed to get herself shot all to pieces, but she was airlifted out by her Posse, before the cops arrived to take Casino in for questioning. She will be wanting a report soon."***

"Is he going to join us later, then? And Starlight - have you heard anything about her condition since you left her?" Echo asks, wondering how bad "shot up pretty bad" and "shot all to pieces" really was.

(OOC: Answers, if any)

***"All right," Bloodbank speaks up and leans forward over his drink after glancing about to make sure no one was within non-enhanced hearing range. "Here's the skinny,"

He proceeds to explain the setting of the Bartholomew School, the tenements nearby, the security as they could see it, and the only plan they'd come up with so far. When he finishes, he leans back and raises his eyebrows. "Any ideas?"

"Trail may get too cold by Monday," stated the Dapper Solo, "and no telling where the Kid is stashed. Santa is probably getting more fidgety by the hour.

"No telling who else has been employed to find the Kid. I for one have been through too much tonight to let some other Choombas cut in on our action!"

He looks each of the men in the eye, before continuing his one-sided conversation.

"I want to hear what the Ladies have to say."

Vegas turns his attention to Blossom and Echo, foregoing any foreplay of flirtation.

"Okay," says the Dapper Solo, "what course of action makes sense to you Dolls?"***

"The only thoughts I had was the posing as students, which may not work because it's the weekend. I asked Blossom to check for any activities the school might be having today, like a game or some junk, which might make it easier to get in. Another thought I just had is what about the sewer system or some other underground maint tunnels?"

She leans back and takes a sip of her cola.

"That's all I've got, choomba. You have any bright ideas?"

I've been dealing with a bit of life. I'm sure y'all can relate. I will post sometime tomorrow afternoon, if thats ok. If not, Echo will also order a cola, and see if Blossom found anything on the school calendar. Otherwise, perhaps the sewers, if thats possible in this time?

She's on vacation for the week, so I'll let you know as soon as I speak to her. She's fairly savvy on current tech, and I know she will diligently read the books, but I will see what she thinks.

As far as the school group, what do y'all think about the pose as student angle?

Echo thinks for a moment, then turns to the others, "What if one of us poses as a prospective student," she says, indicating Blossom with a nod of her head, "Here with her father/guardian/what have you," she looks at Bloodbank with a kind smile, then turns toward Ghlahn but thinks better of it, passes him over and continues. "You could go in, demand a very thorough tour of the grounds, including that security tower, to 'make sure your child will be safe there - I mean, just look at those degenerates across the street'!", Echo says with much sarcasm and a grin. "What do you all think?" she asks.

Echo looks at her watch and curses softly. "Damn, that won't work until Monday, Choombas. I don't know if the kid can wait that long. Maybe they have some activity going on later today, like a game of some sort. It might be easier to get in with that going on." Echo turns to Blossom, "Chicka, could you get to the school's calendar and see if there's anything today?"

The nomad turns to the others with a grin, "And I don't know about you boys, but I think and plan a whole lot better on a full stomach. I'm down for meeting the others for breakfast."

Im just now finally able to log back on, for some reason I couldn't get on here earlier *grumble grumble*

About to post shortly. 🙂

I may have someone to take Blossom, if you like? She's a bit of a newbie, and I don't know if she's ever played Cyberpunk, but she's enthusiastic and plays characters well. If not, that's cool too. Just thought I'd mention it.

(*** Echo is the first to respond, "Nicely done, Chica!" she quickly steps forward and grips the handle. "You boys ready?" she asks, looking back at Ghlahn and Bloodbank.

Pulling the door open a crack, the pretty nomad peers through and into the night. Cold, wet wind slaps her face and blows in through the door, penetrating the hall beyond. "We're clear," Echo informs everyone while opening the door further. "At least for now."

We're about five clicks from the school," Blossom reports, her optic display activated and synched to her agent. "That way," she points to the right, towards the tunnel. "Do we take the direct route, or make like mice in a maze and wander frenetically all about to throw potential tails?"

Ghlahn scanned the way ahead. His experience helped him pick out a few items of note. There was a security camera above the door which he pointed out to the others. "Gotta be careful we stay out of its vision." Before the others had a chance to move he noticed movement, "Patrol car in the AV lane". Looking at the hotel he took in the security. "We'd best avoid the hotel, those guys are packing for trouble. That road requires a toll. Not sure if it matters to us. The escalators and elevator seem equipped with a credchip device. Lucky the stairs are free so..." ***)

Echo turns to the group, "Stay inside for the moment until the patrol car passes, he could turn around really quick!" she cautioned, pushing them back inside. "And yes, those hotel goons are bad mojo", she agreed with Ghlahn.

Turning to the netrunner she asks, hope in her voice, "Chicka, can you scramble that camera above the door for a bit to hide our exit?"

"If any of us have enough cred to use the elevators or escalators, I'm okay with that, although if there are alerts to any of our names or faces, we're hosed. I'm perfectly fine with the stairs, but some of us are injured yet and the climb might be difficult. As far as the tunnels, I know my clan used to be able to rig the devices in vehicles to be let thru the tunnels without actual toll payment, but I'm not exactly sure how they did it, I just know it worked." Echo looked hopefully at the others, "Do any of you have the knowledge to rig 'em?"

(OOC - sorry for the misinformation. I made an incorrect assumption based off of info given me by Brom)

I misread into something Brom told me about Echo, so she is NOT able to rig a vehicle, she just knows her clan does that.

Question for Brom - would Echo still have clearance/correct cred chip/ect to get into High City, since she once lived there and went to the upscale school?

Hey Brom, did you mean for the searching for a map to be from Blossom or Echo? I thought Blossom was the netrunner, unless I'm misunderstanding stuff.

Subject: Lock the door??

"Chika," Echo says with a grin to the pretty netrunner as she hurries through the door, "you have the gift for sure. Can you scramble the lock from the inside, you know, change the code so they can't follow us or some such? Or, should we just blow the controls?" she says with a wink, indicating her weapon.

(OOC - if Blossom can lock the door, cool. If not, and shooting the controls should work to her knowledge, she'll wait for folks to move down the hall a bit, take aim, and fire a small volley into the control panel. Otherwise she'll follow the advice of the netrunner as she's more knowledgeable of the techie things. After that, she'll follow the others down whichever way they decide to travel.)
