She figured on getting as far away from her pain as possible. While not a genius, Toni is intelligent and Star Fleet opened up a new world for her, which had been very limited in her drive to become a prima ballerina. In the academy she tried out everything, trying to find a niche for herself. She had a jack of all majors without mastering any one in particular, accept one, Strategy and Tactics. She loved the study of the ancient master of the art, avidly reading everything she could about them. Sun Yee Tzu was her favorite. It was her martial arts training that finally lead her to security as a branch of service.

Personal Bio:
The La Rue family was wealthy, and that gave Toni opportunities to live her dreams. From an early age Toni wanted to be a dancer, she trained intensively in ballet. By the time she reached her full growth, her dreams were crushed because she was so tall and heavy, the vast majority of male ballet dancers were smaller and lighter than her. She enjoyed other physical activities, martial arts, classic Japanese jui jitsu which she has a black belt in, and the Brazilian capoeiria. Horseback riding was another well loved sport, but the fear of getting hurt and not being able to dance kept her from pursuing it more intensely.
