Curzon is an ensign recently graduated from Starfleet Academy. He excelled in most aspects of his training, showing an adeptness at Martial Arts and Weaponry training, among other things. He graduated at the top of his Engineering Academy class, with special certificates in Theoretical Propulsion Systems and Advanced Starship Theory. He received the highest recommendations from all of his instructors and seems to be a "wunderkind" in Engineering circles. He has completed training cruises aboard the Starships Enterprise-D and Yorktown, and did an exceptional job, according to his commanding officers on each ship. Of course, the fact that he has five lifetimes of experience to draw upon hasn't hurt either. It is widely held that whatever starship brings him aboard as a full-fledged crewmember will not be disappointed.
Curzon is a Trill, named in this incarnation for his distant relative Curzon Dax, a former host of Jadzia Dax aboard Deep Space 9. In one of his past lifetimes, as Joran Shral, he served aboard the Starship Enterprise under James T. Kirk, so he is no stranger to starship life. He served aboard the Enterprise with distinction as an officer in the Security department. More than one member of the Enterprise crew was saved by Joran in ugly situations; on one particular mission he saved Dr. Leonard McCoy's life, which led to a close friendship with McCoy. That friendship remained, and transcended Shral's existence as Joran; Admiral McCoy has been one of Curzon's staunchest supporters as Curzon has pursued his career in this present lifetime. He left Enterprise to pursue further duties and adventures, eventually retiring from Starfleet as Head of Security at Starfleet Operations in San Francisco.
After another lifetime spent as a merchant and trader, Shral has now begun his current life in his newest host, Curzon. Curzon is fascinated by his memories of being in Starfleet and has a strong desire to be a part of the Starfleet of today; he joined Starfleet with the support of his family and friends, and never once looked back. But a shadow has darkened his life: both of his parents and his sister were lost in the beginning of the Dominion War. He now hopes to find a spot aboard a starship that will take the fight to the Dominion and allow him to take some measure of retribution on those who have taken loved ones from him.
