Okie

Fair enough. What if I expended spell castings equal to the number of people being healed while conversating?

Mass Effects

As long as you spend extra time equal to the duration of the castings... in other words if you wished to effect six people with a spell that has a two round casting time would be a lecture or story that takes 12 rounds.

It allows you to continue performing while casting.

These Kobolds

So, this group of 12 kobolds in a tight group formation. Are they all say.. within a 15 foot cone of one another... say... grouped for a good wholesome color spraying? I mean, a nice tight formation good against blocking missiles would not be too good against area of effect spells now would it? And besides it would leave them all stunned and not killed.

I figure 12 stunned kobolds bound at our feet will be easier to deal with than 12 kobolds huddled in a defensive stance with spears pointing at us.

Lemmie know.

Game Play

Sorry about the last delay guys, I was studying for a killer Calculus test. I was also making sure everyone had said everything they wanted to say before continuing. Thanks for your patience.

It has been brought to my attention that my last in character post did not follow what had already been established in previous dialog. In other words, the storyline overran the players' roleplay time. In the interests of moving the story forward, the players were not given an opportunity to make their own decisions regarding entry into the lair.

This online play is not a new experience for me, but I've not seen one go farther than a certain point just past the first scene. Also, in previous attempts, players were separated by thread based on where they were. So, I am unaccustomed to how exactly the best approach to take with the motion of the thread.

more in a minute...

As I was saying...

Anyway. Had to go to the store.

I was fast forwarding through the tunnels because I had already determined that these kobolds aren't really going to be a challenge for you, even split up. I also figured that the entrances all led to the same place eventually anyway. I decided that what happened in the tunnels would slow the game down enough that it would be better to just gloss over it. However, it did take away a perfect opportunity for people to develop relationships within the party. I see that perhaps I made a mistake in trying to move on. My rationale was mostly that I don't want this whole game to encompass just this one hill of measly kobolds.

So, I want to know what you guys think.

Should we go back to the entrance mounds and see what happens from there, or do we continue from this point? I want you guys to enjoy this as much as you can, and I think I've been too tightly reined in on how things go. So let me know what you think.

I can go from here, Np
Since both monks made it to this spot without killing each other indicates they can work together.

Tunnel Filled With Kobolds has ...

..... been posted mere hours before I must gather my things and head to the airport to fly to the States!

No guarantees on how often I will be able to access a computer in my travels and post updates!

August 9th should find me back to a somewhat normal schedule for consistent posts!

No problem

I can have your character slip into the "blue funk" until you return.

It seems we lost a couple. We'll continue from here.

Alrighty

I assume that the majority of you know at least a smattering of Draconic...

I think that previously I knew who knew draconic and who didn't. But it seems to be missing, that little tidbit of info. So I am going to assume that you all understand it at least...

But speak up.. if you know your character doesn't speak it or understand it, let me know.
