Ixion

SODGROVE

"Oh, of course, m'lady." Ixion's expression changed quickly in the second it took him to turn to the elven woman, his self-assured, almost cocky smile, replacing the sour look he'd given the dwarf. Nudging out the seat closest to his own, he continued, "This, ah, unsavory fellow... was just suggesting that we take to the wilds and, what was it? Reclaim the land from the evil that has overtaken it, or something like that.

"I don't know if you go in for that sort of thing, but it just occurred to me that having one of your beauty along to offset the dwarf and his 'evil-tainted lands' might make the whole thing worthwhile."

Torigad

SODGRAVE
Torigad flushed is face going red, fortunately his big hearty beard and long hair hid his redness, what right had this scrawny man got to embarass in front such a beautiful figure, if i gave him some logs he couldn't make a fire i bet.
"Yes i am interested in travelliing into the stillnes of course we would have all overspring to prepare and get ourselves ready." Said Torigad, this time full of pride.
"Since our friend thinks i am a disgusting monster and a person who should be treated with no respect i will be off now i will meet you down here in the morning."
Torigad strolled off not waiting for a reply, for he feared further embarassment.
He called for the housekeeper, "Bring the tub to my room kind sir, please"
Once in his room he lent lightbringer against the wall gently as not to ruin his precious artefact then laid his waraxe at the end of the bed as a warning to intruders.

Once the tub was brought up with boiling hot water. Torigad thanked thhe pretty barmaid and wished her goodnight. Then Torigad jumped in it sraight away although with no splash, he nearly screamed at first but after a while it felt good and washed him cleanly.
Leaning over to reach the small mirror he decided it was time for a change he wasn't alone anymore. Now wasn't the time though he would ask for a razor in the morning and shave at least some of his beard off.
After getting out of the bath his hands were normal once more so he got clothed and went back down calling for the tub to be removed.
The pretty barmaid came up to his room again but he maintained his composure and thanked her very much.
Torigad was truly nakered he pulled back the blanket got on the rough mattress pulled the blanket over his muscly body and fell asleep almost straight away.

Ixion

SODGROVE

The thin man watched, a slightly puzzled look on his face, as the dwarf huffed off. Even for a dwarf that one's too easily riled.
"Don't mind that one. He didn't get his beauty sleep." Ixion downed the last of his wine before continuing. "Snowlilly. I'm Ixion, Ixion Po. Pleasure to make your acquaintance. My apologies for leaving you with the night so young, but I'm afraid this wine has gone to my head..." He paused momentarily, as if remembering something from long ago, and chuckled quietly as he finished, adopting a sing-song rhythm, "...now nothing to be done but off to bed."

Tossing a few coins onto the table, Ixion stood from his chair, and bowed to the elf maiden. "I take my leave of you, for now. However, if you'd prefer the evening not end so soon..." Grinning, he looked up at her from mid bow and right into her eyes, "I'm in room 3."

Ixion turned as soon as he finished the sentence and purposefully made his way straight to the stairs. That'd work on the barmaid... I wonder if it will in any way entice an elf? Curiosity got the better of him as he rounded the corner in the stairs' landing. Had he not been walking so briskly he would have broken what was usually one of the easiest rules to follow: Never Look Back. The narrow stairwell saved him; he was already passed the corner when his will broke and all he got was a close inspection of the wall.

Ixion returned to his room, berating himself. You must exercise more control than this. Pretty girl and you fall to pieces... stupid man. If she does come up all you will do is talk. You can make no advances. That is your punishment for breaking. He began to plan how he would explain away the obvious connotations of his last comment to Snowlilly. Just as the beginning of the conversation was taking form in his mind Ixion made the mistake of sitting on the bed. Exhaustion overtakes him and he's asleep before his head hits the mattress.

Ok NOW its a new day.

The Sixteenth day of Elmoth, morning
Sodgrove, southern East Rose

The evening was far more late than anyone had suspected. Torigad Snowlily and Ixion, both exhausted from their recent travels, soon found themselves fast asleep in their respective rooms. Dawn comes early, and the adventurers sleep in until almost 9 AM. The night was restful, and at lest one of you has not had this much sleep in months, possibly years.

The smell of cooking bacon and fresh bread is on the morning air, mixed in with the normal animal and mud smells of a village.

It is lightly raining.

((Ok, now its a new day. I will advance the time every real day, whether folk have posted or not, but I will try to just advance from morning, to noon and night each per 24 hours. This seems reasonable, questions or comments pm me.))

Ixion

SODGROVE

Ixion's eyes snap open. Awake Surveilling the room, he quickly realizes he slept clear through to morning and a brief look of disappointment crosses his face.

Didn't really expect it to work anyway. She's probably been dealing with those same ploys for twice as long as I've been using them. Ixion, you're outmatched.
Standing up he stretches and pops his neck, trying to dislodge the last bit of sleep's haze from his mind. "Oh I need to wash up" he mumbles to himself as he heads for the door. He strolls downstairs and, after poking his head into the main hall to see if either the surly dwarf or the enchanting elf were awake, looks around for either of the two young boys or the Housekeeper to draw up a bath for him.

Downstairs

The two musicians are picking up equipment from the night before, speaking quietly with their human companion. They do not look as if they have slept yet.

The mead hall is in a state of recovery from the night before. Locals lie where they passed out, some on tables, some curled up on the floor. Must have been a heck of a party.

The bartender and his maids are trying to clean around the sleeping guests.

The housekeeper tells Ixion that a bath will be brought up to his room if he wishes, and informs him that she's seen neither of his companions yet.

Downstairs

The sixteenth day of Elmonth, morning
Sodgrove, southern East Rose

Yissu, the bartender, sees Ixion and Snowlily come downstairs and motions them over.

"Ahh, good morning friends, are you hungry? We have eggs, bacon and real bread, not that unleavened grobesh up in East Rose. We also have oatmeal and real milk."

He cleans off the table at which you were sitting last night and flips a chair back right and offers it to one of you.

Downstairs

The bartender smiles and nods to the pale skinned elf.

"Of course. Right away." He takes other orders and returns to the bar.

The two musicians, finished packing their equipment, sit down at a table near the pile of equipment. A serving maid tends to them, smiling and laughing with them. The male bard asks the maid a question, and she turns and looks in the party's general direction and laughs, then answers him.

A maid lights a fire in the fireplace. It looks to be chilly and rainy today.

Tellanth

Broken Tankard - Sodgrove

The door opens, and a human of about 5'11" walks through the door and brings with him an expansive plume of what appears to be dust emanating from his dirty gray baggy robes. He struggles getting his baggage through the door, and he fumbles around trying to keep hold of his books and, what appear to be scroll cases.

He drags himself over to an empty table to have a seat all the while shooting what he believes is a disarming grin to any that catch his gaze. As soon as he sees/hears the bards talking at the table across the room he begins intently staring at then, almost as if studying them....

His face has a strange silver marking that goes up into his hairline is difficult to make out from a distance... maybe a birth mark? His hair is jet bet with what appear to some silver gray streaks, which is kind of strange considering he appears to be no more that 25-30 years old. He speaks common with a pretty strange accent ((think heavy russian)) as he orders some breakfast and asks the waitress if there are any rooms available.

Torigad

SODGRAVE

Torigad woke heavily with a headache he had overslept, he wasn''t use to this form of luxury a feathered pillow and a mattress was always more comfortable and forgiving than solid earth, Torigad shivered at the thought. Torigad rolled back the winter blanket, got up and walked slowly and groggily to his backpack where he routed around for his clothes, he found them and started dressing, once he was fully clothed he made his way downstairs, and saw a new person obviously a tired traveller maybe adventurer as he still had all his gear annd attire about him. Ignoring him he walked steadily to the bar asked for some water and any form of breakfast he asked Yissu to choose for him.

Torigad went to sit with his two new formed friends but before he reached the comfortable brown seats of the table, a thought wave came over him, he bolted up the stairs as fast as he could, which was some considerable pace opened his room to see lightbringer leaning gently against the wall and his waraxe laying peacefully, maybe for the last time, on the chest at the bottom of his bed. Torigad quickly slung Lightbringer over is shoulder in it's scabbard that he himself had made, Torigad then tied in the waraxe by his belt so it would swing as he walked giving him an unusually powerful presence.

Before walking out of the door he took a look at his hands no longer crusted with mud and blistered and callused from work they were....were clean! He once more walked down the stairs looking at his meaty breakfast on the table bacon and eggs his favourite he hadn't had this sort of filling food for a long while his normal breakfast, was usually nuts and berries. How he was looking forward to this meal.
he walked steadily down the stairs to sit with his comrades "What am I without my weapons it is my trade." Apoligized Torigad. "That strange fellow speaking to Yissu looks like he may be up for our little adventure what do you two think?" After that statement Torigad hastily tucked in to his breakfast.

Downstairs

The maids return with piles of fresh bread and an enormous bowl of scrambled eggs matched by a rack of bacon and sausage cutlets. The maids bring breakfast for the new arrival as well, as serving boys take care of his baggage.

The waitress smiles at the dusty traveler and says,

"I believe the Housekeeper has two rooms left, milord. Come with me, I'll take you to her." She leads Tellanth upstairs where the housekeeper is inspecting the maids' rounds, making sure fresh sheets and towels and toiletries come around.
The Housekeeper greets Tellanth warmly and leads him to the end of the hall... room 6.

((Speaking of which, Ixion is room 3, Torigad is room 5, and Snowlily is room 1. Room 4 is empty and room 2 must be the bards. There are no other rooms.))

The conversation and eating lasts well into the morning...
