The Fire

T'puuli carries the girl to safety, shouting at the others to get out while they can. She drops off the girl to her mother, who shouts and hugs and fusses over the little one.

Torigad gets his bearings and manages to open a couple of stall doors, rescuing three horses and two sheep. Snowlily roots around in a few panicked moments and finds something very shiny on the floor, but her eyes are too blurred to see anything. She picks it up and pockets it. A timber falls from the ceiling and they hastily exit...about the same time Tellanth rushes inside.

~

Tellanth, about to race into the burning barn, stops short as T'puuli pulls the girl outside.

~

Ixion rushes to the east side of the village, where he chances upon a pair of humans trading blows with a pair of squat humanoids... they carry spears and are difficult to make out... but he could swear that those little squeaky voices were chittering the language of the Dragons.

Tellanth - Sodgrove - Outside the Burning Barn

Tellanth, seeing the dark looking elf exit the burning building, stops for a moment examining her as she passes off the obvious source of the previous screaming.....

A moment later, seeing the elf at the doorway, He yells,

" your friend, the one with the knife tricks, may be in need of your and the Dwarf's assistance. He went this way!"

Pointing down the street in the direction of the sound of the fighting.

At this point ((Once he was sure the elf understood)), He turns and runs down the street towards the fight trying to get a view of whats going on before he gets there.

T'puuli Drathir'anon

Outside of the Burning Barn

She is very glad her cloak was soaking wet when this started. Turning back to the barn and seeing the roof had collapsed she will bow her head and say a quick prayer for the animals that did not get to safety, hope no one else was inside. And lastly wonder how can a very wet barn burn so fast and hot.

She will turn around looking for the other two. Seeing that they were OK T’puuli will look for the girl and her mother. Seeing them still hugging each other.

Hearing that somebody will need some help and that 3 people run off the human and elf maid T'puuli will follow them quitly and as she does so she will unsling her quarter staff. Her now smokey wet cloak blends into the background a little better and her silver white hair is completly covered by a very sodden hood.

Pause

((I am going to need everyone to give a short description of your character... I am getting questions about some characters that can be easily addressed in the words of you guys... remember that its raining and everyone should be soaked, and some are suffering from slight smoke inhalation. Thank you.))

Ixion - Sodgrove: Near the Kobold? Skirmish - EDIT

((take my description from the Q&A and add water. Stir. Wait five minutes. Serves 3-5

Ixion does have a number of daggers on his person, but they are all concealed unless someone wants to make a search check (frisk him). Only two weapons are visible before making such a check: the rapier belted to his hip and a dagger sheathed on the inside of his right boot. EDIT: for further clarification, the dagger is on his right boot's medial side))

Ixion nears the battle and sees what appear to be some kind of dragonkin... and they are being routed. Not wanting to miss out on any potential fun, he draws his rapier and charges the nearest one, hoping to score a few hits before the villagers finish them off.

Torigad - EDIT for HAMMER

SODGROVE MAIN TOWN COURTYARD

Torigad rushed to see what the deal was with Ixion the sharp-tongued scrawny fellow he grabbed lightbringer from his back and wielded it in his hands ready to throw it at any foe although he doubted there would be many, precautions must be taken.

((Torigad was a black-skinned dwarf from the backflay Marshes and his ancestry is from the Blue dragon as the blue shiny scales along is left forearm would suggest. ALthough The stocky dwarf would seem tough and unforgiving he is not he can be kind and gentle and appreciates the beauty that this land once had this is what he fights for a restored beauty of a once great land. His childhood was lonely Torigad found it hard to make friends as he appeared strong and tough but was as soft as a feathered bed coated in pillows and silken cushions, during this childhood he trained for long durations building up his impressive muscle and ability to hold alot of ale. Over time Torigad has learned how to make friends but once these friends are made he has little to do with a group and tends not to make contact with anyone for sometimes weeeks on end choosing to live in the woods or any other secretive places around. His long beard which is platted neatly in one long strand hodes a rough and callused face the features are broad and unforgiving and shows a man with little laughter but plenty of sadness. his long strewn hair hides a scar running from his scalp to the bottom of his neck, a scar he cannot explain so hides to avoid awkward questioning.

.))

T'puuli Drathir'anon

What you see running down the street following 3 people

T’puuli is 5’ apx 120 lbs, well built a bit heavier then a normal Drow, Dark skin (Charcoal), Eyes are red with flecks of Silver, her hair is a dirty gray 2 small silver white horns are visible since the hair is dirty and wet (the hood fell back as she was running). She smells of wet burnt barn and mud. Her very wet cloak is of a smokey blue gray color. She is wearing mud encrusted green? Boots. She is carrying an ironwood staff that has metal bands. A dagger is on one side of her belt. You will not see any armor. Her clothes are of a good quality homespun in a dark color (looks dark but is really teal green just wet and dirty)

Tellanth - Sodgrove

Running down the street towards the fighting, trying to get a view of what is going on. Tellanth can not help shooting the Drow some more inquisitive looks.

((Tellanth is a human male of about 5'11", he looks to be maybe 150lbs. or so, but it is difficult to tell because of the extremly baggy, silver-grey robes. He has a strange silver marking on his face that from a distance may appear to be a birthmark at first glance, but further and closer examinination would show it to be a tatoo of a Silver-Dragon kind of in profile, where its left eye is Tellanth's left eye, it continues up and into his hairline.))

The corral

Ixion chases after the little implike creatures, but he soon loses track of them... they move through the underbrush quickly and soon all he can detect of them is the chittering laughter and jeers from somewhere in the woods. The darkness and rain make for poor tracking.

Tellanth, T'puuli, Torigad and Snowlily (and Manuhol, I will assume he is with the majority of the group until he says otherwise) arrive. The scene is within an empty corral. The gate is wide open, and two men stand in the open gateway, one man consoling the other. Both men have bloody swords, and one of them is injured. Ixion soon returns and rejoins the group, very disappointed that he didn't get to kill anything.

There are perhaps four or five small humaoid bodies lying in the dirt of the corral. Closer inspection may be in order. Meanwhile, the one man collapses into a sitting position, moaning.

"My cows, my cows! The bastards took off with my cows!"

Manuhol the Monk in SodGrove

The sound of men shouting and the clashing of weapons from the east end of town drew upon the senses of Manuhol the Monk as if he were a fragment of metal being lured by a powerful magnet.

He was aware that the screams had gone silent and the lesser sounds carried on the wind mingled with the smell of burning wood let him know that whatever alarm had been sounded must have been equally and effectively answered.

Manuhol stood 5'11" and weighed 180lbs when dry, but the steady drizzle had added some slight weight to the backpack encasing his bedding and other possessions that he was carrying.

"Seifu ... guide me ... silently ... swiftly ... alertly ..."
Were anyone to notice, Manuhol was 25-years-young, but had the appearance and manner of being much older. He was human, but green scales were readily visible on his chest, stomach and back. He was proud of the fact that he bore the scale markings of the Green Dragon Seifu the Enlightened, who had been killed when Manuhol was 13-years-younger. Having no parents and being raised in a dojo since before he could remember, Manuhol was a natural for becoming a Mercenary ... for even his very name means "To hire, to engage one's service for fee."

He fled the desecrated dojo in the company of a few elder Monks who continued training Manuhol in the deep enchanted forest of Norcross ... ever learning what he would need to know to follow his destined path as prophesied by the elder Monks.

Manuhol had undergone a ceremony of consecration to avenge Seifu the Enlightened ... whereby the light brown hairs of his beard and his head were plucked from him by the root ... in symbolic agony of how the dojos of Seifu had been plucked away by the Shade Lord.

Thus Manuhol was without beard, hair or eyebrows ... and when he would close his eyes ... the green scales on his eyelids made him appear a bit more draconic than others. His Emerald Green Eyes flashed with a burning fire deep within to fulfill his destiny and avenge the death of the green dragon Seifu.

His skin was a golden tan from his endless hours in the elements over the years preceding ... and following ... the demise of the Seifu dojos. His ears were nearly flattened against the sides of his head and they had been filed during another ritual to take on the semblance of pointy Elven Dragon Ears ... but the rigors of training and battle had worn the points roughly ... although the Elven kind took kindly to his appearance.

Manuhol was proud of his green scales and over time had chosen not to hide his dragon heritage markings. They served to mark him for friendship ... or adversity ... but as was his custom on this day ... even in the rain ... Manuhol was stripped to the waist ... unmindful of the elements ... even welcoming the caress of the cool water upon his golden hued tanned skin [like the soft color of a waffle cone enhanced by scoops of French Vanilla ice cream in another world] ... as though he were one with the habitat of the dragons.

His head and ruggedly handsome square jawed face [replete with broken nose evidence from early training times] bore the markings of forgotten battles that had made him the Mercenary Monk that he had become unto this very day ... and as Manuhol the Monk gripped his QuarterStaff in his right hand ... while checking that his Dagger +1 was secured in his belt on the left side [with his left hand] ... Manuhol prayed once more ...

"Give me Wisdom ... oh Seifu ... to recognize who to offer my fighting talents to this day ... and who to wreak vengeance upon ... for the desecration ... and dispersing ... of your dojos!"
As Manuhol moved silently and listened for any further sounds of combat, he spoke thus to the Lord of the Gods: Io, "Oh Swallower of Shades ... the Ninefold Dragon ... grant me your strength and favor as a green dragon ... to avenge your child Seifu ... oh creator of dragonkind ... enlighten me ... who to attack ... who to defend ... who to lend my services to ... in service to you ... and Seifu ..."

As he continues praying, Manuhol the Monk uses whatever cover is available to get a closeup view of the conflict, so that he can quickly study and decide which side or cause to lend his services to [if need be] should he determine what course of action to take before the conflict of combat is resolved by others.

T'puuli Drathir'anon

The corral

As she arrives at the corral she hears the fellow bemoaning the fact that his cows are gone.
Looking around she will see some smallish crumpled bodies and will walk up to one of them. Bend down and examine it. Once she is done she will look at the ground observe the tracks and smile, Cows will be easy to follow in muddy ground. She will look at the white elf and remark “if we follow the cows we should find the rest of the group. Are you game for some hide and seek? With us being the seekers?” As the elf considers the suggestion T’puuli will start off following the tracks the cows had left.
