this could depend on your god. which did you choose? base your arrival around your duties to your god. your in the mountains(looking for a place to start a new clan holding?) your in a mixed race town(protecting dwarven interests and seeking out ex-patriots) anything like that will work. you could have come with the carravan or with a group of miners. anything will work just add it to your background to give him a little depth. i wouldn't put your family clan near though that would be to tempting a target for me

***** I think most of this has been resolved or will be in a day or two, so I think I can start formulating my introductory post for the adventure and hopefully have it completed and posted no later than on Sunday when I have the day off from the office!

I posted a brief intro for Anvil on the main thread. The post could easily be modified if Anvil has already met anyone at the Bellyful. He is young and looking for a group to join. He will certainly join a group looking to solve the mystery of the dead loggers.

..... things are currently going over here it may be late Saturday night [my time!] or sometime on Sunday before I can get my post written!

A quick question - I am used to thinking of dark elves as Drow, and evil. Obviously this groups dark elf is expecting some such reaction, but I am curious - do dark elves have a different role in this world at all? Drow, I believe, also traditionally liked life underground - do these elves? Just curious about what Anvil ought to know, or think he knows, about dark elves.

Not sure how the new rules treat them, but there are good Dark Elves. They are the exception though, and not the rule in most games.

I've heard rumors of surface dwelling good Drow (or at least not evil, Lloth serving) in the realms of Faerun (The Forgotten Realms).

Degotti will have to divulge T'sal to us as he sees fit. Good thing about this party (or bad depending on how you look at it) is there are no humans. We are just a collection of elves dwarves, and a halfling.
