What's in an Adventure

I don't know if this will be any fun, but we can try :

The point of the game is to imagine a (brief) synopsys (story line) by a given Adventure Title. When you've done so, you make up a new title, or you repost an older one so that other people can give their imagination a roll.
Answers can be either truly adventurous, over the top funny or a mix of anything in between.

Example
Adventure Title: The Broken Sword

Synopsys: Wherein the players meet an old warrior whose sword is broken. His only chance to ever slay a monster again depends on whether they can defeat a dungeon filled with slimes, jellies and oozes, to retrieve the magical Rod of Superglue.

Let's try it:

Ok then

Not far from town lies the fork in the road where once gallows hung for use on the condemned. Long since removed, recently townsfolk have been found there, exhibiting wounds conforming to having been hung. The PCs must seek to quiet the restless spirits of the dead. Undead involved.

Doomed Dogs
Wherein the characters stumble onto a litter of hellhounds that have lost their mother, and hence their identities, and must train them to be watchdogs for a nearby circus. Successful training leads to the creation (and award) of a new feat, Save the DM's Storyline.

hehe

In this adventure the players find themselves in a cat-and-mouse game with a red dragon with an unhealthy love for rods broken in seven pieces.
The dragon keeps returning to pester the PCs because one of them is magically bound to the creature by a tattoo set by the Djork brothers, who turn out to be demi-liches with a plot of their own.

Under Solid Pressure, now available in paperback

Years ago the Dark Mistress Valoyrn secreted her mystical powers of evil inside a diamond while her castle was seized by Lord Katen. Her minions escaped with the diamond and hid it in the Exploding Mountian, a volcano rising from the mists of the rain forest. The years have past and most have forgotten the dark time when Dark Mistress Valoyrn ruled the land, but not all. In a time when peace has taken over there are still minions about who seek to retrive the diamond from it's molton home and recall their evil master. Can a small band of heros rise up and destroy the evil surrounding the volcano, while it threatens to erupt, before they can find the diamond and summon an ancient evil?

I kinda like this so far ...

Barrows of the Forgetten
In this adventure, a wave of undead has engulfed the town of Barrowshadow. The towns-folk know where the undead are coming from, but are unable to do anything to stop the invasion themselves. So they have hired you, an intrepid band of adventurers, to perform this task.

What the towns-folk don't know is that an evil mage-cleric has moved into the barrows for which the town is named and is creating his own army of undead from the bones and bodies lying therein. Can your group stop this new threat, or will they themselves be added to the ranks of this new undead force?

Smell the Flowers ( Barrows of the Forgptten II )

The undead army invading Barrowshadow has been destroyed, but all is not well yet. The Mage-Cleric had a back-up plan. He had enlisted the aid of an evil Druid prior to his defeat and, after his narrow escape from a previous series of encounters, he brought the Druid and his "children" to a previously-ransacked barrow he had inhabited before. These "children" were actually fast-growing flowers that had a rudimentary intelligence and ejected a poison-spore cloud when certain conditions were met. These new flowers were now growing in profusion in the area surrounding Barrowshadow, and have decimated the population. The call has gone out for someone to rid the town of this new menace. Are you one of those who answers that call?

Choices.

The Lair of the Snack Dragon, Snarl.

A thousand years have past since anything has been mildly entertaining. The ages that have past leaching away any enjoyment or mirth. Until now, an original thought, something new. "Choose..." was blown into their minds as if it were breath onto a burning flame. "Seek out others of new flavor. Find me a white lizardman's babe from the eastern desert or a woman who has died from the loss of her beloved alone! Maybe a man who has yet to fulfill his destiny so that I may cut it off and taste certainty unfulfilled. Find me something that has never passed these lips or find yourselves seeing what lies behind them!"

The characters must continue to lead people to their deaths in new and exciting ways to leave the different tastes of emotions in their meat for Snarl or he will devour them instead. Can they keep Snarl entertained until they can vanquish him? Will the Ancient dragon see their growth and snatch them up before they get that far? Or will the characters be too kindhearted and choose a third path hidden at first glance?

The Molten Sands of the Glass Sea

A Pirate Adventure

Captain Sully Wade ruled the seas with a ruthless hand. But waiting on the coasts of Abailine was the one woman who could turn that ruthless hand into the most tender of touches, Dyceen. When a tragic accident befalls Dyceen, Captian Wade is left in despair until he finds a letter written in the hand of his love before her death. Her words call to him from beyond the grave, explaining that she was not what she appeared to be, a simple dairy maid, but was a princess of the Glass Sea, who had been stolen as an infant by Scurvy Charles (one of Captain Wade's greatest enemies). She had escaped Scurvy and met Captain Wade while trying to return home, only after falling in love with Wade decided not to go. The letter gives Wade hope, who bundles up his love in the finest of silks, prepares his crew and ship and sets sail for the Glass Sea. There he hopes that her powerful father King Medias will be able to bring his daughter back from the darkness of death.
The journey will not be an easy one, as Scurvy has also heard and intends to stop them, not to mention sea monsters, storms, venom spitting fish, and the guards of the Glass Sea. Will Captian Sully Wade save his love, or will he join her in death?

Ah, Xtra-Planar!

Dungeon of the Demon Spot
Spot Awn, The Ink Spot, Spot of Darkness, by many names is the creature known and feared. His influence has, lately, spread to other planes, engulfing entire worlds and cultures. Now come the saviours of legacy and legend, whose duty it is to either rub out that encroaching stain of blackness, or create a bright Spot where none was seen before.

Hehe this idea was almost awesome

The son of a former mass murderer has been acting strangely lately, separating himself from former friends and company. Also, murders have been occuring again, in the manner of those of his father. Is it him? Is it his father returned from the dead? Or is it something far more sinister?

Only seven?

Seven Years of Bad Luck
Recent scrying and research has revealed the
4 years ago, Captain Abel Muir commissioned a mage of great reknown to create a cursed "piece of eight" a single gold coin that cold be broken up into eight pie-chaped pieces. It's enchantment was such that the solder of the coin in, its entirety, would suffer the loss of 7 years of his life and the additional curse of suffering the effect of wielding a Stone of Poor Luck for a period of a year. He then had the coin broken into its component parts and scattered, offering a reward for it retrieval.

An eighth-piece has been unearthed and is purported to be able to indicate the location of the other seven parts of the cursed coin. can your party retrieve all seven parts of the coin so that it can be destroyed, or will they be captured in their quest and sentenced to rowing duty on the ship of the pirate Pop Skye, who is also searching for the coin?

Yesterday, When I Was Young...

The PCs pass through a small village; they stop at the tavern, stay at the inn, visit the smithy, etc. Strangely, there are no young adults or children... the only inhabitants of the town are old and senile! Because of their senility, most of the elderly in the town can't give an explanation for this that makes any sense. Communicating with them seems to be almost impossible; the PC's get only babbling and forgetfulness.

After a day or so, or after the characters leave the town, they soon find themselves aging rapidly, quickly becoming senile themselves, incurring all sorts of penalties to their stats, etc. Is it something in the water? Is it a spell or some kind of curse? As the characters undoubtedly return to the village to determine the cause of their mysterious ailment, a cruel DM might throw in a raid by a party of orcs on the village, and force the PCs to fight while in their newly wrinkled and feeble bodies!

Snow business? Hah!

There's No Business like Snow Business!
Burgherygma and Sons Ice House has been quarrying ice and compacting snow from the Snowalkmie Glacier for the past two generations. The ice and snow is sold to outlying areas and businesses for various (and sometimes nefarious) purposes.

Lately, though, a water elemental has begun to wreak havoc with the workers, encasing some in the glacial ice itself, outright killing some others, and causing more than half of the workforce to leave in fear. In an attempt to save what he sees as a business on the brink of collapsing, Grawl Burgherygma has asked for aid to eliminate the elemental and restore peace and productivity.
