keep this baby on the tracks!

Okay, cool. I'll whip up an "Arien votes to charge head on at the bad guys" post so as to keep this railroad headed in the right direction.

yay power!

At seventh level, we have reached what I call "hero status". We can indeed do some real damage now, especially if we work together intelligently. We're in the real "sweet spot" for 2e D&D now - we can do really cool things, but it's not quite to the "yawn, another terrible monster" phase.

For the record, I have no doubt that Roger's beasties will be more than enough to keep us occupied.

Question...

Can I triple up my weapon specialization with Char, Roger? It's been so long, I've forgotten the rules.

Char would vote on a split attack, putting some people at range while the hack-n-slash types rush in to connect and do some damage; maybe soften the baddies up with some spells and arrows before the risk becomes too great to fire upon them (once allies engage in melee). Then the "second wave" of melee combatants enter while the spellcasters bolster the fighting group and offer what support they can.

With the approaches so open, the distraction of ranged attacks might make it more possible for the fighters to reach them without difficulty.

Spellcasters...anything to ground a flying creature in your spellbooks? Take away their flight ability and we might put them on even ground...no pun intended. OK, the pun was intended, and I won't apologize for it.

master level

Yes Bromern, you may triple your kukri specialization to master level. That will give you +3/+3 and also has the added bonus of any fumble that results in loss of weapon will be re-rolled. You can not move higher than master level in specialization.

Fighter (pure) can master as many weapons as they wish. Ranger/paladin can master one, but single specialize in as many as they wish. Non fighters may single specialize in a single weapon. (my rules, in case you are flipping through the books trying to find this).

tactics

Brom basically stole my point about tactics of this fight, except that Arien will also push for us to at least fire from different angles if at all possible.

Ok new character sheet??

Excuse me if I seem out of date, but did we all make 7th LvL?? Ok my old character sheet is still 6th lvl so I guess if I made 7th I need a new one and if by the above can I now master my long sword skill?

Also I believe as a specialist I now get 2 attacks every round.

Thanks

Yes yes yes

Yes - you are all 7th level now.

Yes - you may master level your sword.

Yes - You have 2 attacks per round now.

Character sheet - yours is in html which makes it tough to edit. I usually let people update their own files, hence the reason I posted the changes. Hit points are easy with me, you always take max because ...

Sing it with me...

The monsters always have max.

Bada.........

updating my own sheet...

...check. Where is it... ah, there it is. Dagger of auto-hit, insta-slaying. I think Arien will use that in this next fight.
