Hmm

I predict my history will become "Was born, is still alive."

I is ready for that one ...

and can handle it with ease. Already ran a table-top campaign like that. It was interesting, fun, enlightening, and very, very short ...

Speaking of not talking...

Reminds me of a funny story.

We were playing a game where I was a LN monk, completely decked out. I think we were 16th level. The party had (if I remember, this was a few years ago) about 5 characters. The DM set up the scenario and we started on our way to a cave hideout we were supposed to clear. I think a lich lived there.

I was the only Lawful character in the group, everyone else was chaotic everywhere. We got to the entrance and there was a crude door set against the opening. We (the players) spent the better part of 10 minutes discussing who was going to aid who, who was going to make the check, and what to do just in case.

With no end in sight to the talking, I took action. My character hadn't spoken the entire session, conversing in nods and such instead. He spoke at the door (paraphrasing) 'I'm opening it.'

Counted to 6 and opened.

The DM took his head out of his hands... "Will saves..." The DC was something like 28 or 30. I was the only one that survived the Wail of the Banshee trap. Finally got some peace and quiet.

Ah, the brilliance of Chaos...

Sometimes, the easiest way to kill a chaotic creature is to just let them be themselves...

But of course, Wail of the Banshee helped.

That reminds me of the best joke every written.

You wail like a banshee. "LIKE A BANSHEEEEE! LIKE A BANSHEEEEE!"

...I'm sorry.

Oh dear...

I'd hate to be in the room when that happened... I don't have anywhere NEAR a high enough will save to pass that DC... I'd probably end up dead.

Me, too

I barely passed my saving throw and that was with a Periapt of Wisdom +6 and an Aid spell.
