Cheese is good.

I like pepper-jack too, that's tasty.

I also like smoked cheeses.

(I used to work in a deli too, I soooooo hate slicing wafer thin ANYTHING now, and hate roast beef blood as a result.)

S'mee

Now how did I miss this thread?

Hyvää Joulua! (Finnish/suomeksi)
God Jul! (Swedish/ på svenska)
Fröhliche Weihnachten! (German/auf Deutsch)
Merii Kurisumasu! (Japanese(Nihongo ga)
Rõõmsaid Jõulupühi (Estonian/Eesti keeles)

Ok, here goes:

Favorite musical performer: Rush!, Sting, Dream Theater, Queensrÿche, Sting, lately Disturbed, Opeth, Ayreon, Sting, Clannad, Zakk Wylde, Testament, SOAD, Eric Clapton, Sting... numerous others

Where would I most like to visit: Canada, New Zealand, Japan, China would be my top four. Been to UK a lot and would love to go again. Hungary! Malta! Been twice to both and they were great! No, USA doesn't make it on my list except for one reason only - I'd love to meet all my RDI friends.

Quote from Rys (I think): "I don't believe in astrology"

Favorite sleeping position: Anything goes, though I never sleep on my back.

Favorite Holiday: X-mas, definitely

First thought upon waking up: "Not again, not yet!"

Perfect romantic evening: Don't really do these, though the missus probably thinks I should. But: Candlelight on a dark mid-Winter night at a remote cottage in Lapland (Finnish of course)... starlight glittering on white snow and northern lights lighting up the sky in the distance... fireplace to keep the place warm... a couple of bottles of some good wine, cheese, fruits. And all this after a nice sauna.

Color: This is kinda obvious: Black!

Website: Don't really have one... or there's nothing there yet. I'll let you all know when there is.

Drink: British ale/bitter, red wine, gin&tonic

Costume: Who told ye, I like wearing them? Only got one from an old LARP atm. It's a black tunic with a purple cloak and some accessories. Favorite one would probably be a heavy black hooded robe made of wool.

Treat: No thanks

Halloween show: I hate Halloween. Sorry. It's not a Finnish thing or didn't use to be when I was a kiddo.

Have I had my fortune told: No. Might try it once just see how wrong it goes. Like I said, I really don't believe in it.

Worst Fear: Losing my daughter or wife.

Pets: No thanks. Or maybe a tarantula or a gecko

What did I want to be? Architect, Police officer, soldier, historian Did I? No. Well was a soldier for a year. I've studied international marketing (boooriing) and computer science (boooriiing), Japanese language(just a bit), culture and history (now that was interesting). What do I do? I'm a unix admin. What would I like to be when I grow up? Rich and unemployed.

Blind date: No thanks.

Season: Winter

Most attractive: How the hell should I know this? It sure ain't my looks. Mayhaps it's my humor and wits. Some love it, some hate it.

What's behind Raven? He was a half-elven ranger/druid in my longest lasting RL campaign called (surprise surprise) Sons of the Night. He had made an appearance before as my PC in another game, but was a major NPC in SotN. Raven had a lot of my characteristics in him, but also a lot of what I'd love to be. Has nothing to do with my real name Pekka, which derives from a Greek name Petros which in turn is a translation of the Aramean word Keefa or Rock. Perhaps that does describe me a bit... Rock. (not physically though)

The most annoying thing about this thread? Al didn't mention Finland amongst the places he'd like to visit.

(O)

Next Question:

If you could trade places with anyone (living) for one day, who would it be and why?

I think I would trade with a top Olympic Athlete to know what it feels like ot be that in shape and energetic.

Shape

I was a decathlete in high school. It feels great to be in shape and energetic. Everyone should try it.

Who would I switch places with? Why would I switch places with anyone?

Hmm

Favorite cheese'd have to be pepperjack or swiss but only because I can never remember the name of this irish soft cheese made with a red wine... very nice. My family heritage is centered as the rulers in Munster, Ireland for a time though, so I really should be claiming munster cheese as my favorite so I don't betray some long standing tradition! Oh well!

Who I'd switch places with... hmm... I'd have to say my Love. Maybe for an egotistical whim to see myself in another's view (the most important person's view) but mostly because I live a fairly relaxed life for the moment and I'd like to give my Love a chance to have a nice and relaxing day for once. *Smiles*
