I just noticed that I had ended my IC post with:

"May the FARCE be with us."

oops... I've since updated!

well

I never even thought about it. I figured it would have whatever name the guy I got it from gave.

Any suggestions? I'm really open for anything. I'll try to post sometime tomorrow, but I'm going to shoot for hyperdrive.

Would Awvoor know that Dantooine is a pretty big Jedi enclave?

hmm

I'll make some rolls and see what turns out.

EDIT: Here's what you know about each planet, based on the highest results of everyone who rolled. For most of you, it was an untrained roll of Knowledge (Galactic Lore), so for most of you the max results were 10.

Adumar - Adumar is a temperate world, with forests, hills, lakes and cities. Adumar is primarily inhabited by humans. These humans are descendands from seperatist settlers who were banished by the Republic in 9,988 BBY.

Dantooine - Dantooine is a pleasant world covered in rolling hills, wide-open plains and beautiful farmland available for cultivation. Dantooine has only few scattered settlements, which are inhabited by wealthy farmers whose lands produce the majority of the planet's food exports. A Jedi enclave exists on Dantooine, serving as a training facility for Jedi away from Coruscant.

Dorin - Dorin has a unique atmosphere that is toxic to most sentient species but perfectly breathable to the Kel Dor species. Situated between two black holes, Dorin was not discovered by galactic settlers until several years before the Galactic Civil War. (Dorin joined the Republic in 5,975 BBY, almost 2,000 years ago.)

Ord Mantell - Ord Mantell is a planet sized junkheap, with a military outpost from the Republic.

My vote

I vote for Ord Mantell but being a 'lesser person' in the eyes of pretty much everyone but kate my vote doesn't count for much.

You are mistaken...

Loki, while Arruna might very well be distrusted or thought of a "less" in the eyes of the other characters, you - Loki the Player - are not seen as lesser and your opinion matters to the rest of us.

Admiral, however, as the one playing the "captain" of this ship will have to decide how to RP his character.

Haha!

I just realized Benjamin's got Knowledge [Galactic Lore] as a trained skill! Yay me!

(too bad he's hanging out in the back and can't relay his wealth of knowledge to you folks in the cockpit )

Where to go...

As far as where to go, as a player, I think we should avoid Adumar and Dorin.

Dantooine sounds alright, but Benjamin and the Embassador need to get the information directly to Ben's master (at least I think they do).

Ord Mantell sounds alright too... I like the "military outpost from the Republic" bit... might help protect us... maybe.

eh?

Well, I'll be damned. I completely forgot that today is Sunday. And the day is nearly over. It's not that I've been waiting for more posts (although that would have been nice), I just completely and utterly forgot that today is Sunday

I'll start working on that update right away!

Also worth noting, I assumed that all the information had been spread between the group in some manner. Details don't matter, but I assume that Awvoor knows or has heard everything that I mentioned above.

Hum

I think that would be sensible, it's rather impractical for us to have lots of IC conversation on the actual game thread.

...

If someone talks directly to a NPC, I'll answer regardless of what day it is. But I didn't notice if anyone did.

Anywho, I've posted an update. Be sure to look into it (and notice that the girl traveling with the Rodian is human, and not his daughter of same species).

Question

One quick question, which I'm not sure if you can answer fully: I noticed that the speech pattern of the Embassador has changed (specifically in the last post) since the beginning of the game. In your last post, you have emphasized his running of "sss"'s. Is that because you (GM) are trying to capture more accurately how a Khil would speak? Is it because he is tired and exhausted from our last encounter? Or is there something else going on?

heh

Yeah, this is the real embassador. I'm not spoiling anything, there is no trick. Since the game started I have figured two things:

1) The embassador has learnt Basic as a second language, so it is only natural that he wouldn't speak it as well as those who learnt it as a first language.

2) I read a bit in the Knights of the Old Republic comic book series, where there is a Khil character. The running sss thing was very obvious in his speech, and their language is described to have this sort of feature. I didn't think of it at first, but I decided to add it to the embassador's speech.

So, in case you were wondering, no, this is not an elaborite trick.
