not to be a downer

but MAge hand only works on a non-magical unattended item of up to five pounds. That Onyx dai-katana (if magical or not) Has to weigh more than 5 pounds. A lonsword weihs 4 lbs and a bastard sword weighs 6lbs acording to the Phb, so a two handed Dai-katana has to weigh more lol.

But on the upside I really enjoyed reading DM's post.

yep

mage hand only allows a very light item to be transported, so Draven's weapon would not be retrieved with that spell. But you can say that you got the weapon when Alyssia dragged Draven away?

Also, Cdn, remember that Alyssia has a vow of poverty, so this means that she has very dirty and ragged cloths already. Spending money on new ones for herself is the last thing she would do.

The end of this chapter

Alright Ladies and Gentlemen,

You've finished Part 1 of this adventure. Applauds for all of you, and of course: Experience Points! I've rounded it all up to 3000 each, so that means that all of you get to go level up. I will expect not only a post by the end of the week, but also information regarding leveling. I would like for all of you to post what you want in this Q/A, only secret stuff PMed to me.
Remember that at level 6 you get an extra feat. Tann, I'll pick one for you, and I'll do your sheet as well, since you're not familiar with 3.5 rules.

The items found at the base of the tree are magical, but you'll need an identify spell to know exactly what they do.

So, congratulations, and here's to making it to the end of our next Chapter!

(Leveling may mean that you can finally pick the prestige class you wanted. I know that for Elessarae it means that she is now officially a Bladesinger )

Concerning Hit Points: I'll roll for you all, so let me know what to roll.

I just updated Tann's Ranger. Wow! I didn't know rangers went through such a drastic increase of attack power at 6th level. From only two attacks using two weapon fighting, to 4! attacks using Improved Two weapon fighting.... But that's only in full attack mode.

Tann, start using your swords more often!

ok

I'll look into the Knowledge devotion feat, since I don't know what it does exactly. Will update your sheet on the first page soon.

CDN: It's not required to update your sheet this very day. I'm not going to do your sheet for you now since you have a full week to do so. If you don't have time in the whole week, I'll do it for you.

For your reference

KNOWLEDGE DEVOTION [DOMAIN]
You can use your knowledge to exploit your foes' weaknesses and overcome their strengths.

Prerequisite: Knowledge (any) 5 ranks.

Benefit: Upon selecting this feat, you immediately add one Knowledge skill of your choice to your list of class skills. Thereafter, you treat that skill as a class skill, regardless of which class you are advancing in. Whenever you fight a creature, you can make a Knowledge check based on its type, as described on page 78 of the Player's Handbook, provided that you have at least one rank in the appropriate Knowledge skill.

You then receive an insight bonus on attack rolls and damage rolls against that creature type for the remainder of the combat. The amount of the bonus depends on your Knowledge check result, as given on the following table.
Check Bonus

Result Granted
15 or below +1
16-25 +2
26-30 +3
31-35 +4
36 or higher +5

You can make only one Knowledge check per creature type per combat. If you fight creatures of multiple types during the same combat, you can make one Knowledge check per type, thereby possibly gaining different bonuses against different opponents.

Example: Alhandra faces a black dragon, a vampire, and a beholder. She has the Knowledge Devotion feat and ranks in both Knowledge (arcana) and Knowledge (religion). At the beginning of the battle, she makes checks to gain bonuses against the dragon and the vampire, but since she possess no ranks in Knowledge (dungeoneering), she has no chance to gain a bonus against the beholder (an aberration).

Alhandra's Knowledge (arcana) check grants her a +3 insight bonus on attack rolls and damage rolls against the
black dragon. Later, a half-dragon enters the fray. Alhandra cannot make another check since she has already checked for the dragon type this combat, but she can apply the +3 insight bonus to her attack rolls and damage rolls against the half-dragon as well. This benefit is an extraordinary ability.

internesting

nice feat, that one. So does this only apply to the knowledge type you've chosen, or on any knowledge check?

The Sword

I'm sorry for any misunderstandings, but for the sake of clarity and for the fact that I have OCD, I wanted to run a little description of Draven's sword.

I dunno how it looks like it's part rapier . The sword is utterly massive. Easily matching a claymore in size. It is only slightly curved, as described, and it only has a blade on one edge. It's a Dai-Katana. Aka really friggen big Katana with a wide blade. It's black and actually appears to have been made from Onyx, and along the spine of the blade are runes that...I don't know if any of you would recognize, I'll run it by Almerin. The Runes are frost laden, and the blade almost seems to have a presence about it...

I only describe it in entirety for RP purposes . Draven's sword is very important to him, as you will find out.

The knowledge check is for all knowledge checks

but the feat also gives you a new knowledge as a class skill as part of it.
