Brianna

Brianna takes a couple of deep breathes before anything else. Keeping near the dragon to make sure it was not shamming its death. However she did not think so but caution prevailed. Devon question caught her attention. She exhales, “I think he is okay, if not Flame would have demanded healing for himself. However this new one is a mystery. Flame is not from this world. He can through with me in the vortex with Lorae and others. Now here he has found another like himself. Brianna shuggs and walks over towards Devon slinging the great ax on her belt and picking up her long sword and sheathing it. She continues walking with him over towards Soronuume.

Thank you both all the magic support, couldn’t have done it without all of us doping our what we could.. That lightning helped too. We did pretty well, all considering.” She clapped Devon on the back heartily, but not too hard, and gave a smile to Soronuume, without the hearty back slap. Her face radiated with satisfaction and pride in a good battle-a victorious battle, which was even better. It was her way, the way of a warrior and follower of the Warrioress, an aspect of Amaterrana.

“The dragon’s hide is worth something, I always wanted a pair of red dragon hide boots. The teeth and claws, and their blood all have value to certain people and Lorae has a special bag to put all that stuff in, I do to but not as large as hers. Meat’s rather peppery, very spicy hot that is.” Brianna paused and looked thoughtful for a moment, “Oh, I say, we have a couple of extras from our fight with the drow. Would you like one? They are really useful, even the ones from this world.”

“Let’s join the others for now I will get Lorae to take care of the carcass. She can shrink it down and pack it way in stasis, hopefully before any of its kin show up.” Brianna strode over to where the.

Reaching the others she draws closer in interest. “How is the little one? ” Brianna asks Alexandria. "Precious that is," remembers Brianna, the name Flame had called out several times.

Soronuume

Soronuume watched carefully as the dragon twitched in the throngs of death. She waited as the flame haired woman looked for any signs of life before releasing the storm. The tempest went from her leaving the wood elf spent and ecstatic. Calm returned to her and she began to breathe with a sedate rhythm.

"Thank you both all the magic support, couldn’t have done it without all of us doing our what we could. That lightning helped too. We did pretty well, all considering.”

Soronuume returned the other woman's smile, "I am glad to have been able to help."

Turning to face the charred tree her gaze fell on the dark elf, and she watched as the woman tenderly cared for the dragonettes. The wood elf nodded, with the miniature dragons being taken care of she could give aid to the burnt tree.

Soronuume walked up to the great oak and placed her hands on its trunk. She leaned in close to the tree as she closed her eyes and whispered softly.

Brianna

"Well, We can drink to that once we get to an inn, my treat for the first round," Brianna says with a quick but genuine laugh. "If I didn't say that Jeril would drink the place dry and I would have to foot the bill. Oh, and cold he drink," her voice grew quiet. I wouldn't mind to pay for his drink, if I could. Brianna pauses. He is gone to the Great Father. That is who he believed in." Brianna turns away to looked and the downed red dragon. "He would have enjoyed this fight too." Brianna ';'s mind wandered for a bit down paths n her memories. reliving the good with the bad.

Bask to the present:

"Flame is Precious okay?" Brianna asks changing the subject away from the melancholy memories.

Brianna also watched Soronuum reach out for the great oak tree, scarred and charred by the ferocity of the juvenile red dragon. Great gouges were torn through the bark that had been stripped away entirely by its huge claws.

And that was to solid wood. Which reminded Briannan she needed some attention too.

"Lorae, you seem to be the only one not busy healing one thing or another. I could use some of you abilities in that direction," Brianna remarks as she pushed back her cloak to reveal bloody mail torn and a ragged red wound in her side. She squeezes it to make the blood flow to wash out as many toxins as possible.

Game Post: Healing

Soronuume is fortunate that it is summer when trees are at there most active, still, fast for a tree is v..e..r..y.. slow in human time, as a living thing that registered time by the passing of the seasons and was worse than talking to a Ent. The old oak was just registering injury and healing sap had begun to move to those ares where the bark had been stripped away. Do to recent rains the tree had resisted some of the fire damage and the bark was not totally burned away.(What are you going to ask the tree.)

Brianna asks for healing and Lorae tends to the wound by cleaning it before doing a laying on of hands. "Do any of you have cure disease. Dragons' claws are not noted for their cleanliness."

When all are seen to Lorae goes back to the red dragon and very shortly afterward it disappeared from the ground.

Meatime Precdious snuggled into the soft bedding in the haversack and Flame fairly clung to the side of it, in concern.

"She's ok?" He piper out looking to Alexandria for conformation. "Lorae can to the hands thing," he added. I can go get her if she needs more healing."

Alexandria.

Alexandria held the young dragonette the entire journey back to the village. It was in her Dogma to help the weak and innocent, and she would never turn her back on that Dogma. The healing was coming along naturally rather well, but Alexandria definitely did not deny the grace of natural healing.

At Flame's question, Alexandria smiles at him and pats him on the head. "No Flame, Precious is doing quite well. I think she's almost ready to greet you herself. She's been healing quite well."

Turning her attention back to precious, Alexandria makes certain that there is nothing more to do to heal her but let nature takes its course.

"Lorae's talents will not be needed here. I have my own magical healing touch, you know." She gives Flame a playful wink, then re focuses her attention on Precious.

Soronuume

The wood elf felt the awareness of the tree, slow but vital. She sighed in relief, the great oak still lived.

Soronuume looked up at the tree and spoke softly in the sylvan tongue, "Great sister I feel your life and offer you healing if you will accept. Great sister I ask you, do other dragons threaten the land."

Game Post

"Nnnnnnoooooooo," it took minutes for the word to form in her mind. In the background the tree contended with its environment; the movement of water and nutrients through its length and breadth, the gnoshing of annoying insects eating away at certain parts of its body, the warmth of the soil, and the sun on its leaves."

Soronuume

Soronuume stepped back from the oak and nodded, accepting its answer.

"I thank you Great Sister. May the earth hold you and the sky caress you." she bid the tree farewell in the sylvan tongue before turning to face the others.

Brianna

Brianna looks at the woman who had hugged the tree. "What were you doing?" she asks curious aboout those actions while Lorae cleaned up her wound. She winced a bit as she pour the vial of spirits she keep in her bags for such things.

"Waste of strong spirits," she grits out as her side errupts in fiery stinging pain. then there was the flush of cool water that did not quite take away all the heat of the spirits, Lorae satisfied she had cleaned the wound out lays her hands over Brianna's wound and it begins to heal the rent flesh.

"WIsh my armor were so easily mended. and my tunic. I have no extras. I am going to have to remedy that when we get to the nest village."

Brianna walks over to Shadowbane standing guard over the red mare and mounts up ready to ride. She turns back to the directions they were heading earlier, "On to the next village. About how far wasy did you say?"

Soronuume

"What were you doing?" the flame haired warrior woman asked as Soronuume turned from the oak.

The green elf took a few steps to the other woman and smiled as she answered, "I was making sure the oak tree is okay, the Great Sister yet lives."

Soronuume stopped and stared at the oak tree for a few breaths. A familiar growl puller her from her reverie. The elf glanced towards its source to see Xu moving to her side. Smiling she kneeled and placed a hand on the panther's head before returning her attention to these new companions.

"WIsh my armor were so easily mended. and my tunic. I have no extras. I am going to have to remedy that when we get to the next village." the red haired woman spoke again.

"Perhaps I can help with your armor and tunic." Soronuume said as she reached out a hand towards the other woman.

(OOC: If Brianna agrees Soronuume will cast Mending on the tunic and armor)

Lorae and Game Post

Lorae now turns to the tree. She reaches under her armor, and brings out a small highly embroidered pouch, from it she takes a what looks to be glowing gem, a ovid of emerald that she takes in the palm of her right handd and then places it against the tree. The glow intensifies to wash over Lorae, Brianna, Soronuume, and finally incompass the tree itself then radiated out to all the members of the party.

Game Post:

Brianna had experienced it before, just before they had bee sucked through the portal, but this time it lingered as the tree was healed. It was a loving embrace, a sense of each persons' favorite season, the scent of flowers and luxuriant green growth, whichever each individual preferred and with it all came a rejuvination of body and spirit.

(OOC: PC can describe there favorite idealic natural setting with all its attendent sights and sound. )

Back Post

"You can mend it? well then thank you vary much indeed. I have not seen a worker of mithril yet.

Brianna cranes her neck to try to see what Soronuum does, then realizes that she is using magic again.

"Useful talent that is. Mothers had magic tutors one after the other to try to teach me magic. she had chosen a Mage to mate with in hopes of getting a mage-gifted child. But it didn't happen, I just couldn't learn any spells. she kept trying for years. Finally one mage told her I was as magic ink, that it just sinks into me and never comes out, so mother gave up at long last. And I was free to train as a warrior."

exhilarating and strange.....

This feeling, Devon knew not what it was, for it was as alien to him as this world. Winter in Genesica, cold season flowers crisp smelling like the mint his mom put in his tea, and a peacefull time. Peace, a feeling he hadn't felt in a very long age, a time when many of the creatures his people fought were struggling just to survive or in hibernation. His people didn't travel during this season. They stayed within the town walls and had festivals and feasts and celebrated this peaceful time.

That is what Devon felt while in this green aura. All negativity left his mind, and in its place, a feeling of great contentment and happiness, that he hadn't felt since before Wolvertain killed his parents, washed over him and he felt strong spiritually again.

Brianna

Brianna could smell fresh spring grasses that grew so abundantly on the plains. The smell of warm horse flesh along with the fresh green smell and the scent of apple and orange blossoms. The feels of the prairie the smell of the wreath of flowers of the first flowers of on her head as she and the other young girls rode to the Spring festival of the Maiden. This was her season The season of births of the new foals of the Amazons prized horses for which her family was famous for.

Only that world was gone her mind reason but her emotions held onto the olfactory and visual sensations as a drowning man clings to a piece of wood in a spring flood.

Brianna signed deeply but the memories faded despite her wanting them to hold them for awhile longer. She open her eyes that she did not know she had closed. Reality was sometimes disappointing by what it wasn't. She nudge Shadowbane lightly to move him off. HoweverIt was not his fault she had sat on his back totally submerge in a fantasy she did not want to end.
