Problem with that is we'd have non-STs in the cross-fire. Ara, personally, would not want to kill any one who's not a soldier.

Hmm

A decoy just might work, but the assault would not; there is more than the security centre we have to deal with.

An assault on the security centre would only draw attention to us, which is bad since even if we succeeded in putting the stormtroopers out of commission, there are likely loyalists on the floor that will be attracted to the commotion, and thinking it to be their lucky day ("I can get compensation for this!!"), they will do everything they can to hinder us.

If that were not enough, the Hanger Operations Room would not be secured, and as the name suggests, it is highly likely they'd be able to block off and lock the hanger from that room, which would undoubtedly be staffed, and alert because of the commotion.

So, taking all this into consideration, a full-on assault is out of the question.

Now, returning to the diversion tactic... provided we wired the explosives to respond to an unused radio frequency which could be easily emulated by one of our comlinks, once we entered the hanger we could set it off. In the distraction, the Hangers Operations staff close and lock the door (fine for us since we're already in) and during the commotion we take the frozen person and go... or at least that's probably the idea of how it'd work.

Yes, agreed.

I think the options are:

a) We try and bluff our way into the hangar if, as likely, it's restricted access (past any guards or whatever is there). Ara could say that Karra is for a prisoner transport or something.

b) We blow a hole into the hangar and start blasting.

c) Reralae's suggestion which would work well I think.

Some more information

The dark grey are the walls
The light grey are doors
The brown circles are tables
The green-ish squares in the Lucky Stars are slot machines

The orange-ish color represents a number of different things:

In the jail, it represents a barrier/front desk and jail cell doors

In the BluRay, its the stage

In the Loyalist Lounge, its a stage

================================

The following information is stuff that Hako'ib knows about Blue Deck:

1) The Blue Deck is a loyalist deck; pretty much everyone up there are diehard fans of the Empire.

2) The Lucky Stars has a strong security team/ surveillence, and there is a coat/weapons check as you first enter.

3) The room behind the Lucky Star contains a safe.

4) The Loyalist Lounge has great jazz bands.

5) There are surveillence cameras located through-out the deck.

A couple other things to keep in mind, in case you missed the memo:

a. Use force powers at your own risk. The empire has its agents scouring the galaxy for any force-users, especially Jedi... and not to invite them to the Emperor's birthday party.

b. Carrying heavy weaponry (anything past a heavy pistol or a vibro dagger) can get you imprisoned.

If you can have a final plan ready by tomorrow afternoon (5 PM EST), that would be super for me.

Looks like you have something brewing! Looking forward to what the Blue Deck will bring!

NICE

A safe, you shouldn't have mementioned that.

I can't decide if Hako'ib would try to break into it, take a stab at Imperail Loyalists when he has a chance to run off afterwards, or if he'd just considder it too far out the way.

As normal it would seam that Reralae has perfected a plan, for the groups information my character has an encrypted comlink so would be able to send the signel on an encrypted and unused wavelength.

If were all agreeing with Reralaes plan then we have only one thing to considder, where to place the bomb/explosive.

I'd suggest in the room/bar area in the loyalist lounge or in the corridor just behind. This is beacuse it'll provoke a bigger and more ungent responce from the STs but beacuse in Hako'ibs eyes an afilate, perticularly a loyalyist, of the Empire is not an innocent.

(PS: Google spellchecker is busted/not working with Mozilla so spelling may be less then perfect)

The problem with the maintenance hallway or the bar as a place to plant the explosives is that Ara is the only one with the skill to do it. And it would be weird for a Stormtrooper escorting a prisoner to take a detour.

I think the offices are a good choice, since it would make more sense for her to be there. Plus there's little chance of any non-Impys being caught up in any explosion there.

Oh and let's not worry about the safe.

Modification

OK, well on thinking again I believe that our current disguises, a prisoner and two dancers won't get us into the hanger.

How about Ara, as a ST, is escorting us into the hanger so that we can collect some goods. The crate of Corellian rum.

The crate is Karras, Ithiria is her hand maiden/servant and Hako'ib is her slave.

It's a more plausible reason for them to be on blue deck, Kara has come to pick up a delivery escorted by her hand maiden/servant, Ithiria, and has brought her slave, Hako'ib, to carry the crate.

LOVE

I think you should edit your last post to read:

I LVE THIS PART OF THE GAME.

But that's just my opinion.

I like the parts of games where we don't play into the GMs traps but it doesn't look like we'll be doing that any time soon.

Regarding Deception

Don't add unnecessary complications; a lie or deception should be simple, to allow for as much flexibility as possible in the event that it needs to be elaborated on at a later time.

It is sound, but the add on that Hako'ib and Ithiria are servants/slaves isn't necessary; it could simply be that they are all working for the same person, and are co-workers instead. This is where improvisation comes into play. If no one asks, don't supply an answer to the question that isn't there.

There are other reasons why I bring this up as well. Cathar as a whole typically have never become involved with a slave trade, as far as I know. Thus, a Cathar with a 'slave' is uncommon, and more easily remembered as well as spotted. Furthermore, Karra wouldn't be able to take on that role; she is a medic, and has that professional air around her. Not to mention, this story doesn't provide a reason for Karra to be carrying her Medical or Surgery Kits. Together, they are the size of a backpack, and are heavy enough to be the reason why Karra is at medium encumbrance, and they are expensive; Karra does not currently have the means to replace them, so it would be best not to leave them behind. As a prisoner, it could easily be assumed to be a case of the convict attempting to smuggle something by disguising it as a Medical and Surgery Kit (which is being carried as evidence), but with the scenario you've outlined, she doesn't have a reason for it, which makes it suspicious.

Finally, if this is in conjunction with the explosive diversion, being merely an escort for civilians would not be enough reason for a commanding officer to not order Ara (in the ST uniform) to help assist them in dealing with the explosion. This would separate the party if she went, and would blow our cover if Ara refused. As an escort for a prisoner, the reason then for not getting involved is obvious; someone HAS to look after the prisoner. That's basic for all "police" organizations.

As a suggestion, instead of going to the BluRay, perhaps Haiko'ib could pretend to simply be on his way to take Ithiria out for a joy ride. Then, the reason for them being in the hanger at the time of the explosive diversion is obvious.

Still planning

It still doesn't explain why a ST would be escorting a prisoner into a hanger.

Imperial security is tight, they would always want a ST with civillains in the main hanger to make sure they don't get up to anything. But so long as we get in the hanger and grab a ship quick it shouldn't take too long.

The difficult part is getting in the hanger, once were in I don't see why being noticed is a problem, we can always lock the hanger door.

No matter what our cover will be blown as soon as we collect the frozen agent, I say we get in using whatever plan we decid on but go with the flow once were in. It's rash but I can't see any other way to do it.

Time for decisions...

The time here is 1:45 PM. Deadline is 5 PM. Give you about 3 hours.

So far, I still understand your plan as Hako'ib and Ithiria going up as entertainment for the BluRay, and Ara (in ST armor) escorting Karra under the pretense of her being a prisoner.

Some more notes:

Karra's "search her feelings" check reveals no immediate danger. (though, it will likely take you a good 10 minutes to get up to the Blue Deck)

Ara, after seeing the plans for Blue Deck, notes that most walls will require 2 bricks of denonite to breach them. However, the walls attached to the security station and the hanger will require at least 4 bricks.

Enjoy!

Plan Update

Re Loki: It's rather simple... it'd be under the pretext of prisoner transport. It's not the fact that we're going to get noticed that's a problem; it's a matter of when. Upon entering the hanger, the explosion will go off, at which point most eyes will be towards the explosion, rather than us. Investigation will ensue, under the assumption that the ST with the 'civilians and prisoner' will look after them. During this time, we can attempt to grab the frozen person and make for a ship. At this point we will likely be spotted, but also at this point, as most STs will be at the scene of the explosion, our way to a vessel is more clear than it would've been otherwise. Lastly... I am uncertain that locking the hanger door will be as simple as you think.

For Ayrn: I believe the plan can be updated as follows:

First, Ara will attempt to plant a remote bomb within one of the offices adjacent to the hanger.

Pending the success of that venture, Haiko'ib and Ithiria make their way down to the deck, followed (though not immediately) by Ara in the Storm Trooper Armour and Karra under the pretext of a prisoner.

Haiko'ib and Ithiria will head towards the hanger first, under the pretext of taking a 'joy ride'. They will, however, pause by the casino, debating slightly whether or not they wish to try their luck. During this time, Ara and Karra will catch up to them, and they'll make their way to the hanger as a group seemingly by coincidence.

Upon entrance to the hangar, Haiko'ib will detonate the bomb as a diversion. At this point, the pretexts are off, and there will be a scramble to get the 'cargo' and go.

If the diversion isn't possible, or fails for whatever reason, then the means and pretexts to get to the hanger remain the same, however, the actions that occur upon reaching the hanger will be very different. Upon reaching the hanger, the group will split up. Ithiria and Haiko'ib will initiate the firefight, while Karra will attempt to lock the hanger door. If this is as I predict, this means that Karra and Ara will have to strike at the Hangar Operations Room and lock the door from there.

No matter how that goes, it's once again a matter of getting the 'cargo' and running.

Oh, and Aryn, I think you might have missed it so I'll post this again:

with Ayrn's permission, I could swap Gather Information for Karra with Computer Use... she'd probably be adequate with it. I seem to fill in the Computer Tech role pretty often anyway.

Oh, on another note Ayrn, I just realized... her attack bonuses as listed with her claws and handgun should be +2 and +4 respectively because of the BAB increase from 1 to 2.

OK

OK, that's good.

I agree to that plan, we may have to change it a bit depending on any upleasent surprises Aryn may throw at us but I agree.

I'd like it if we could do a little more RP where we are but we can always do that by PM and backposts.
OK

I'm about to post...

Just wanted to confirm: ARA is going up to the Blue Deck ALONE in the ST ARMOR using one of the MAIN elevators to plant a bomb in one of the offices. Yes?

Any office in particular? An unlocked one? One without anyone inside of it?

Just checking.

Some more notes:

1) Reralae, I can make that change to your character sheet, moving the points from Gather Information to Computer Use. Though, it will be the last modification I make to the character. I will also correct the BAB.

2) It will take a bare minimum of 10 minutes to take the elevator up to Blue Deck and 10 minutes to return. Assuming all goes well for Ara, it will take her roughly 25-30 minutes to plant the explosive and return to Switch's lair... assuming all goes well... :HALO:

3) Just noting this... wearing ST ARMOR will affect some of Ara's skills and her Attack Roll with a -2 penalty. Just noting it. :HALO:

I'm going to update character sheets and then post.

Enjoy!

Ayrn
