That answer...

...works for me!

I'll do my best to have a post of some sort up today.

Some notes...

...to keep us all on the same page, I guess.

While I fully expect flash-backs, flash-forwards, and random time-oddities in this game, I figured it might be a good idea to post some notes regarding the time frame of our little adventure:

  • The current game year is 2016
  • I imagine it to be late summer/early fall, so, Septemberish(?)
  • Events posted in "The Sharpness of Smoke" occurred between 4 and six months ago. (The hunting of Eddie Stevens took up most of the time between then and "current time."
  • Alex killed Eddie "last Friday"... Current game day is a Tuesday, I believe.(At least where our "good guys" are concerned. I imagine it's possible that Cyrene's current posts could be a day or so ahead...)
  • The Cult's "ultimate goal" is to summon Azazel, freeing him from his imprisonment and, thereby, jump-starting the Reckoning.

So, anyway, there you have it... just random thoughts and musings, I guess... Any adjustments we need to make or anything?

Edit: updated to change game year to "present time."

Notes and Posts and Whatnot

Sorry, no post yet, but I will try and have something up today.

That all sounds good to me, although, would it make sense to just adjust game time to the current year? For brain functioning ease? Or does everyone like 2010?

Yes, I've made some adjustments to Mami Fortuna thought that might be a fun revelation. I have a couple of related chars in the works too, as kind of fun background beings pulling at strings.

Eol, going to fast forward us to Penelope's apartment. I shall post soon, this I swear!

Year

I'm not opposed to bringing us forward into the present year, at all. I was just basing the game year on "previous installments." Easy enough to adjust as, other than the date(s) on Emily's headstone the actual year hasn't been mentioned in game.

If everyone else is cool with present day, so am I.

Timing and such

Well I think that Cyrene is on the next day. She arrived on the day that the, so called, "good guys" were at and now she had advanced to the next day (Wednesday). You are all so slow.

I plan to hold Cyrene here till you guys get caught up to the timeline with her. I will start making sure to put the day of the week in the header of my posts so as to avoid confusion.

The year doesn't matter to me. If it is better to advance it to present year, then so be it. Fine with me.

I am working on a little side project for the game; it will involve Det. Kelly, with Eol's permission. Don't worry, I wont kill him.

No...

...but I might.

I kid... or do I?

Seriously, though, at the beginning of all this, I believe I had it planned out that, along the way, Joe would find out that magic and the supernatural are extremely real, the Reckoning is coming and it's not gonna be at all pretty, etc. Whether he gets killed off or not has yet to be decided.

well

If you're killing off NPCs, Cyrene will be happy to oblige. Just say the word.

Interesting proposal...

...I'll keep that in mind.

Also, just so it's stated out in the open, as a rule of thumb in "my games," if you create the NPC you're free to do whatever you want with them at your discretion (even kill them off). If someone else has created the NPC, it's always best to check with that person if you want to do something "overly dramatic" with them (chopping off a leg, stuffing them full of candy and whacking them with a stick until they bust open like some kind of meat pinata, killing them) it's always best to check with the NPCs creator first.

Of Course

I would never do anything with any NPCs here without asking first. Like I did with Joe. Also, I wouldn't just kill off main storyline NPCs anyway unless it was important to the story itself. Just bad form.

I had no doubt...

...just figured it would be "good form" to post that bit of info... In case we pick up any other players in the future, for instance.

Nimu - Just about where I figured you'd have us pick up. I'll get a response up tonight, I hope, and we'll see if Alex can focus through the "sexy vibes" that Penelope's exuding.

Re: Kenneth (the npc I introduced)

That peep is a bit too intuitive for his own good, so I imagine he'll end up being a problem for certain factions eventually...

Granted, on the flipside he has a bit of a reputation for being somewhat eccentric, given that he chooses to work the night shift

I was wondering what happened to you. Well I hope things came out all right. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.

A fae and a human walk into her apartment... hmmm. How could this continue?

Thanks.

Things will work out fine (other than spending $1000 that I wasn't prepared to shell out just yet). New water heater to be installed Friday. Up and working on my morning, now, looking to get into posts in the next hour or so.
