further questions

Just how high up are we, are we talking a 10, 20, 30 foot drop out the window, more or less? Also, what are the odds that Gronz, knowing it may come down to leaping out of a window, set up something below to cushion the fall even just a little?

Gronz wouldn't be able to anticipate which window exactly they may be jumping out of. However, he would know that you are at most 20' off of the ground. But if your bearings are correct you should only be about 10' up.

...

The strange shadowy effect and the distortion in his voice makes it very difficult to be certain of any manner of identification. However, if not the same person, he was indeed similar.

Nothing personal

you all will find my character has a bit of an abrasive attitude, at least for now. Try not to take it to heart.

disguises

In the PF core rule book a disguise kit costs 50gp and weighs 8lbs. There is no actual description of the contents of the kit though. Could I get your ruling on a list of contents? Would an assortment of wigs be in the kit? Make up? Wax-like compound (to make warts, life-like scars...etc.)? hair color?

also it was mentioned by you that I was paid 50gp for this job. I would like to buy a disguise kit. I have already 222.8 gp according to my character sheet. Is that total including the 50gp or was it not added yet (how much money should I have at this point)?

That 222 gp was total after your payment.

As far as the disguise kit, use common sense. The intent (of course) is to give you a bonus to disguise skill checks due to having materials readily available. I would imagine that 8 lbs. would include a few wigs, several make-up variations and perhaps, as you said, some wax or putty-like substance for skin irregularities. I really don't want to itemize the entire contents of the kit. If something you want to do with it seems a little outside what 50 gp would get you I'll say something. Otherwise I will give youa bit of creative space with it.

Apologies

I apologize for not getting a game update in this week. I have been very sick so it has limited what I can do. I'll get one in this weekend and we'll start back up on our normal schedule. Thanks for your patience.

Hey guys

Just a few thoughts from the GM.

I understand I haven't given you alot of information. That is deliberate. The Master is not going to give something away for nothing, and information is very valuable. For a bit of metagaming, he will be a bit more forthcoming when/if the group agrees to work with him (notice that at no time did he say "serve him.")

He has offered you information, and a chance to do something that, according to him whom I don't expect you to trust, can potentially save the world, and any of those you care about (includiong yourselves) in it.

If you, as a group, choose not to participate, I can run with that (though I must admit I would prefer not to).

no worries

Sorry about that Steelight! Raina is suspicious by nature. I fully intend on going on this quest, but I guess it also depends on the rest of the group. *winks*

please pm me an answer

History as you know from my character's skills and background workup, is one of my character's interests. In my studies to work out a hypothesis as to what is causing my changes, would I have (or could I have) found anything on the Sai-Heth?

As far as metagaming is concerned, I know that they are the race that eclipsed the sun. Seeing as that happened before the twilight dragon came close to destroying the world, that info would be much older. However, as far as the majority know, dragons don't exist, but the Sai-Heth, how much does history say about them.

My character's Theory, if you will allow him to have it, is the Sai-heth may be the ones trying to exterminate the "vermin" by loosing the Dragon to finish the job he started so long ago.

This theory could be introduced by Quarlin to the party as a "myth or legend" he read during his research.

If you could communicate and/or compromise with me, my character would most likely be more apt to work with or for Vorlance.

Acceptable

You wouldn't know of them as the Sai-Heth. You would know (thanks to a knowledge (history) roll) that some group of evil creatures committed the atrocity of blocking out the sun, attempting to end all life as you know ot (at the time), because this is the story that would have been passed down from the races that survived that battle. The Sai-Heth, of course, have their own story, but that wouldn't be known by anyone but them.

That being the case, you could likely make the logic jump that they might be trying to do the same thing again. Though there is currently no evidence (that you know of) to support them in particular as the culprits.
