colours

Have I ever mentioned how much I dislike colour change for the text? Red on Grey is hard enough to read without more colours added.

I have had a few people ask about the updated characters on the site. I am just getting off being sick for three days and I will get to it when I have a moment, which is not easy to perdict.

BTW

Loki - I picked up Sherlock the first season when I was at Fan Expo. Imagine my surprise to see John Ryan's image as the Sherlock Holmes. I didn't know anything about the series before then so it surprised me.

Yup...

...Benedict Cumberbatch (sp?) makes a damn fine Holmes! Been through the first series, already... Hoping that a second might be Netflix bound in the near futurish? *crosses fingers*

Also... regarding colors (or colours): The ones I have a problem reading against this gray are white, yellow, and is that silver(?)... Most others don't give me fits trying to "squint out" but, when I see multiple colors I tend to think of The Never Ending Story (if you've read the book as opposed to just watching the movie, you'll know what I mean) and get all whimisical feelin'.

I do not do whimsical

The second season was available on DVD at Fan Expo so I would imagine that it is Netflixable soon.

Benedict Cumberbatch

Benedict Cumberbatch does make a damn fine Sherlock, first series is superb and the second was fantastic but I won't give any spoilers. You are in for a treat!

Interestingly enough Benedict Cumberbatch wasn't the first person I came to when trying to find an image, I just found he fitted.

Regarding colours I'll not use them as well then, I have normally done all my character's dialogue in bold but did start to put NPC and other character's dialogue in colour so I'll stop doing that.

I was going to...

I was going to post as well, but I'm waiting on others to do so as I've had some back and forth with players and would prefer to post after they do than before.

I've not watched the Doctor at all. Am I going to be voted off the island for saying that I've had no desire to do so? I introduced my wife to Supernatural when we were first married last year, and we're now on Season 6 with Netflix. After we are through with what Netflix offers, we might have to buy the DVD sets so we can catch up. But I am hoping that I can get her to watch Firefly with me next, then Burn Notice, then Eureka, then Warehouse 13...and somewhere along the lines she'll realize that being a geek ain't so bad.

Doctor

I think the Doctor is a acquired taste. I watched the fourth doctor as a kid and think of all others as frauds. So you are safe on this island.

Yay to Supernatural and Burn Notice. Not familiar wIth Eureka.

I love Sherlock Holmes from the books and hold Jeremy Brett as the best Holmes closest to the source. But I have enjoyed the new versions in theatre and his new bbc series.

Gotta go with Roger on this one...

...to me, Tom Baker (Doctor #4) is THE Doctor. All the others that followed were sort of lackluster comparatively and I haven't watched a full episode since the mid-70s.

Love me some Supernatural, too... well, at least through season 6, anyway (things kind of went too far off the rails for me after that and I find myself wishing they'd go back to the "monster of the week" format they started the series with).

And, blahblahblah, this has nothing to do with anything relevant to anything else... guess I just had the urge to ramble.

someone has to be first

Everyone wants to posts last. Note: Still quite sick and trying to rest and recup. I hate summer colds.

Psh....

...The way this little monk has been kicking around in my brainpan, I could likely post perpetually... and we haven't even started yet!

Summer colds are the worst! Hope you feel better soon, Roger. Good vibes to you, my friend.

Celeste

Colds are horrid. Hope you see it off soon.

Celeste, for your post would you mind assuming that John has burst into the cockpit, much like Trish has except without the gun, called the Dudemister something rude, and then gone down to the Avionics bay - sort of below and in front of the pilots area (if Wyatt lets him)?

EDIT: Sorry about the massive image at first, I'm no good with HTML code so couldn't make it any smaller.

Images...

Loki - to scale an image of that size down, all you'd really need to do is add height and width specs to the existing html. So, for example, if the original image was 1200x768 and you wanted to display it at half that size, you'd create the html tag like so:

<.img src="http:www.whatever.com/images/big_firefly_pic.jpg" width="600" height="384">

I think the link to the source works muuuuch better with images like this one, though...
