well
That's my take on it, but ultimately, DM's ruling is law.

Tann,
Ok my next post is up and it's short but....I want the input from my augury or rather my god before I decide what to do next...however if its now a concern that the tunnel to our rear is blocked perhaps Conall should crawl between some legs and get himself to the front of the marching order since he has no need for a torch that might be consuming our dwindling supply of oxygen....just a thought. I know I'm just such a cheerful guy!

Good thoughts good sir
All will be revealed in tomorrows post. Muhahahahahahahaha
Also as for Cor, he did not realize the nature of how unstable the tunnel was until further in as Ulthok went in not he, besides the entrance and the first 50 feet were VERY stable and were not part of the tunnel that collapsed.
Yes Conall can see like an Elf so??

"I have always depended on the kindness of strangers,"
Thank you for the research. I'd tried looking it up but didn't find as much as you found.
Ulthok owes you.
Again thank you.

spells
Blast. Should have changed my spells around since we were going into the tunnel. I made those with the "Haila is still a dragon, so she could totally carry us across the chasm" thought in mind, buuuuuuut since summer caught me I never did have the chance to voice my opinion.
I guess if you can get Cynil can sleep for four hours, I can re adjust those spells to things like 'transmute rock to mud' and the like.
Additionally, what is our line-up in the cave? I have a vague idea that Cynil is in the middle somewhere, but where? And I'm kinda confused by the fact that someone without some type of dark vision is in the front.

Kenji in the lead...
Well Kenji lit his torch before entering the tunnel... he has been using that... as for why he is in front... no one else stepped up so he went... I think I asked for marching order in the Q&A. buy didn't really get one so he went in first... he is rather impulsive if you haven't noticed...

impulse power!
*laughs* Ahhhh, so that's why he's in front! I haven't been playing in Trilogy long enough to know the character personalities. ^_^

*thinks*
I think that we should use this time to plan and to rest. That way us spell casters can try to get our spells refreshed, and we can decide on a plan of action.
A question to the DM: I noticed that I carry a figurine of great power, though I have no idea what it does. Could you please help me out with that?

No Problem
Figurines of Wondrous Powers:
There are several kinds of figurines of wondrous power. Each appears to be a tiny statuette of an animal an inch or so high. When the figurine is tossed down and a command word spoken, it becomes a living animal of normal size (except when noted below). The animal obeys and serves its owner.
If a figurine of wondrous power is broken or destroyed in its statuette form, it is forever ruined, all magic is lost, and it has no power. If slain in animal form, the figurine simply reverts to a statuette and can be used again at a later time.
Onyx Dog:
When commanded, this statuette changes into a creature with the same properties as a war dog, except that it is endowed with Intelligence of 8-10, can communicate in the Common tongue, and has exceptional olfactory and visual abilities. The olfactory power enables the onyx dog to scent the trail of a known creature 100% of the time if the trail is one hour old or less, -10% per hour thereafter. The dog is subject to being thrown off by false trails, breaks, water, and masking or blocking substances or scents. The visual power enables the onyx dog to use 90-foot-range infravision, spotting hidden (such as in shadows) things 80% of the time, normally invisible things 65% of the time, and noting astral, ethereal, and out-of-phase things 50% of the time. For details, see "Dog, War'' in the Monstrous Compendium. An onyx dog can be used for up to six continuous hours, once per week. It obeys only its owner.

Hmmm
Tann, If we are able to sleep, would it be possible to use the polymorph other 3 times? Only memorize Polymorph self and polymorph other? If that's the case, I would have 4 of us on the other side, could morph us into spiders, so that we could climb along the walls and such...
I would probably actually use it to memorize Polymorph other 4 times...that way like half the party is morphed and can start on their way...then I would sleep again, half the party protecting me as I sleep. Then cast polymorph others again on the other members...and then keep my polymorph self....
*gives puppy eyes*

Welllll
The sleeping is the hard part as the tunnel is so narrow you'd all be sleeping on your sides with no room to move if attacked. Picture the area behind a wall in a house thats how much space you have rt now. Very, Very tight quarters.

Questions
Kyle, Odyson and myself have access to polymorph self.
11 players
3 of which can use polymorph self
----
8 players would need to use polymorph other...
Kyle and Odyson already have this spell memorized though, so they don't need to sleep to use it...
I would memorize the spell Polymorph other (4x) and cast it on 4 players. Then I would sleep again and cast it on the other four players. It would still leave Kyle and Odyson with me to protect me while I sleep one last time in order to cast polymorph self at which time I could choose other spells as well...the first crew could start along their way because spiders can leave trails with their webs...arrows or something....and then second bunch would follow the clues and catch up with them...and then the last of us could follow them. We would want to clear as much distance as possible as quick as we could.
