Can you tell I'm working on the computer today...

It looks like they were all in Cor's bag of holding.
Just checked Cor's bag, the Druid Staff of Striking and Curing +3 and the boots of elvenkind are in there. Guess that's where they all went.

I think Cor just doubles as the pack mule for items. If you want to get the staff, Cor will give it to you. It's better you have it than it sit uselessly in the bottom of the bag. As for the boots, and cloak if you want it too, if the dwarf is fully clothed you can have them. Though if they are Amara's, you may have to talk to Aliya to get them.

Both Of Us......

Cor and Ulthok both have bags of holding so we have some stuff, but Cor generally has the most.

I posted so Sirene can have the boots.

-------------------
Tann, is that Ring of Regeneration on Ulthok's list the one he gave to Lothor or is there still another one?

Whoa

Can I just be the first to say

...Jeez!

What have the battles with the Gith and Orcs been like to this point?

Yeah, it's a pretty big fight. As Tann said, this is one of the hardest two fights. But hey at least there isn't Illithids... yet.

I'm thinking Cor flame blasts the guards, if only to weaken a substantial amount of the enemies. From what I've learned from my tactical games, eliminating the weak ones eliminates the total amount of damage output the enemies have.

Ok per the Q/A

I see that there's been talk of people trading in or trading up on gear from stored items. Can I get a list of who now has what so I can edit the relevant character sheets.

Oh and Schnozzle this is the norm for Trilogy. If not for an added element this fight would be about on the same lvl as the Gith/Mind Flayer fight they had 2 months or so back.

Battle Stations.........Hot and Cold.....

We have been given a bunch of clues in both Tann's writing and on the map. The zinger is the two hooded characters. They could be the White Queen and Valene or the Evil Queen and a henchman.

We know that the Gith can plain shift to avoid and to attack, so consider those actions and we should hit them first. Flames could be a good start. Ulthok could cast out Burning hands on the Gith by the door. Someone Fire Bomb the Orcs, Cone of Cold to freeze the Gith by the map (don't want to burn the maps) and Fire ball to the back of the room on the Red Robes and door guards. Now how do we do that or something similar.

Rayne power arrows in the other characters at the table, I'd say take out the large Gith first and the other Gith next.

Lothor could charge the Orcs on the side of table nearest to party.

I'll look over spell tonight after work.

So there's my rough attack idea, any other thoughts.

Just thinking it through.

Roan has a couple of spells prepared that could prove to be rather useful. I think the most notable one for the scenario is Blade Barrier. It may be possible to pull or corral a group of the enemies into an area and hold them there, or he could just cast it to encircle a group while we take care of business.

He could, for instance, hold back the heavily armored central area while we pick off the goons, as per SirSadaar's idea.

Roan's also ready with a Cure Light, Serious, and Critical spell as well as Raise Dead. Otherwise the twin Khopeshes Rime and Reason are ready for a good fight.

========================================================

Blade Barrier Level: 6
Sphere: Guardian, Creation [Evocation]
Range: 30 yds.
Components: V, S
Duration: 3 rds./level
Casting Time: 9
Area of Effect: 5-60 ft. sq.
Saving Throw: Special

The priest employs this spell to set up a wall of circling, razor-sharp blades. These whirl and flash around a central point, creating an immobile barrier. Any creature attempting to pass through the blade barrier suffers 8d8 points of damage. The plane of rotation of the blades can be horizontal, vertical, or in between. Creatures within the area of the barrier when it is invoked are entitled to a saving throw vs. spell. If this is successful, the blades are avoided and no damage is suffered; the creature escapes the area of the blade barrier by the shortest possible route. The barrier remains for three rounds for every experience level of the priest casting it. The barrier can cover an area from as small as 5 feet square to as large as 60 feet square.

==========================================
Notable Item: Ring of the Ram
The wearer can cause the ring to give forth a ram-like force, manifested by a vaguely discernible shape which resembles the head of a ram or goat. This force strikes one target for 1d6 points of damage if one charge is expended, 2d6 points if two charges are used, or 3d6 points if three charges (the maximum) are used. The ring is quite useful for knocking opponents off walls or ladders, or over ledges, among other things. The force of the blow is considerable, and a victim who fails to save versus spell is knocked down. The range of this power is 30 feet.
In addition to its attack mode, the ring of the ram also has the power to open doors as if a person of 18/00 Strength were doing so. If two charges are expended, the effect is as for a character of 19 Strength, and if three charges are expended, the effect is as if a 20 Strength were used. Magically held or locked portals can be opened in this manner.

Xin...???

Did you get Tann to clarify "etherealness "? If it is what I think that's where he can take some of us to another plane.

Xin's strength could be communicating with animals and maybe stelth to find stuff or help. I'd think you should keep him safe and a support to Aliya.

But play him as you see fit.

Magic Items

For Siréne: Boots of Elvenkind and Druid Staff of Striking and Curing +3

If someone else has their eyes on the boots let me know.

Also are the spell lists on the Char page up to date?

Blade Barrier..............

The Gith can phase out of the barrier so it's not good on them. Casting it around the Orcs and then fireballing them would trap them unless they make thier save.

Them swords of Roans are mighty and attacking with Lothor against the guys at the table would be good.

Well....

It could go something like this.

Lothor hits Gith 14.

Roan hits Gith 13.

Ulthok uses his wand and shoots a Cone of Cold through 15,16, over to 1,2,3,4,5,6,7&8.

Aliya hit Orc guards 1-8 with Fire Ball.

Rayne hits Orcs at the table with power arrows.

Nimu has sooo much I'll let her pick her poison. But here are some ideas, an area effect on the Gith by the back door, a Lightening Bolt to the Big Gith. (I think the Gith need to go quick before they can react by phasing to attack us.)

Niamedris can enlarge and attack the Human in Good armor, the Hold spell will leave it vulnerable.

Peri can cast Confusion on the group at the table to slow their reactions. She'll see them right away because she is with Ulthok.

Weaver could Fireball the Gith at the back door.

Cor can throw Hold Person on the Human in Good Armor.

Xin stays safe with Aliya, if we had an extra Enlarge spell we could make him big and a melee fighter.

So there one option! It may have holes I have seen, so please give out more ideas.

I only know what Ulthok and Peri would do, so you guys need to figure out what you would really like to do.

Mis Description

Ok looking over my notes I made a slight Boo Boo. The second unknown described as dwarf in size is actually more human sized and slender, maybe an Elf maybe female.

Also Nimu you want the Boots and Staff no prob, but what did you want to do with the Staff of the Woodlands? Keeping it? trading it? Bag of Holding it?

Also yes all spells are up to date from this point on. If I missed removing an already cast spell we will call it my bad and move on.

Also I still need to know if the captive dwarf is with you and what if anything he is wearing. If you gave him armor and such one of you had to dress him, and weapon's are pointless as he will not be able in his mind shattered state to fight.
