Now we need to loot Dark Whisper's body, finish off the butcher and the face. They are evil so don't flinch.

We'll also head out down the side hall. We need to choose to search more for the Dragon Queen or go dust off the magic making the castle fly.

I am a bit paranoid with the creatures of Tann's world so I tend to go a bit far.

I'd say that the fire element should cremate the Lich's body. Don't leave a shell for her to easily come back to. I think she'd have to take a long time and a lot of magic to reform her body. Scatter the ashes too.

Cor as high priest should take off Dark Whisperer's head. They are long lived and we got to make it difficult for her too. Maybe that would flat out destroy her. That would two, maybe three of the sword folks gone. Howler may be dead, but not totally sure. He is in the iced room with the big gem, but it hasn't been stated as fact he's dead.

The butch deservse to be beheaded too. It has some kind oof magic that keeps it fighting and beheading is a common way to dead dead evil creatures. He needs killed before the hold spell wears off.

Smileys got to go too. I was thinking of turning the shadows on him and Dark Whisperer. We have to kill it before the hold spell wears off.

It may seems bit savage but these things cannot be turned back to the good and need to be finished off. Let's finish the job here before we move on.

Ok, that's my paranoid view point.

Oh, and we need to get the stuff off Barrel, he has healing stuff and loot Dark Whisperer. Her sword needs" to come with us. A "last word" sword is powerful. We need to retrieve arrows and Ulthok will pick up the sword he dropped to climb on Howler.

we need to finish all this off quickly. Once the Gythyankies find out we bested their queen they will coming after us.

No rest yet! Maybe a little healing.

I think most of what was said makes sense.

But I'd be careful about using the shadows to dispatch anything - isn't there a chance it will come back as a shadow? These are nice if Ulthok controls them, but I don't think we can be sure about that.

I'm new to this game - what can Dark Whisper's sword do?

We should check on the elf maid that was murdered in front of the throne when the group entered as well. Dead, no doubt, but worth examining.

Having the elemental cremate the lich's body makes sense - should we do the same with Dark Whisper's body?

And grim as it seems, the butcher and smiley need to go.

Roan has to recover his Blades so I can write up a Post that has him beheading the Butcher!

INTERMISSION # 1
Valene awoke to the face of an angel hovering over her own. Unnaturally beautiful she knew it was no elf or demi-human creature, perhaps one of the Valkyre's come to take her to Valhalla. For Valene it had been one moment in the middle of a battle to the next here facing a lady of death.

"Am I dead, Mother Valkyre?"

"No you yet live and I am not your mother" The face replied as she helped Valene sit up. Once sitting up, her back against the wall the female Halfling slowly came awake. Slowly she was able to take in her surroundings. Bars, a single bed, well used, and a very beautiful woman helping her, her hands in glowing steel cuffs, yep she had found the Dragon Queen. After a few moments Valene was on her feet holding out her hand.

"You must be the Dragon Queen; Hi I'm Valene Beestinger, nice to meet ya"

Valene watched as a perplexed expression crossed the Dragon's Queen's face as she pondered Valene identification of her.

"Yes I am, my true name is too long and too complicated for mortal mouths, but you may call me Majesty."

"Well Majesty you have to come with me, we're here to rescue you, and destroy this castle too" A wide grin on the Halfling Cleric/Thief"s face.

Valene's words were greeted by a rich laugh as Majesty gazed around the shared cell.

"Thank you small one you have made me laugh for the first time in months. However I must ask how do you know of my fate as a prisoner here?"

"Oh that's easy, Odin told Cor, Cor told us, and we volunteered to come attack this flying castle with all the rest." The wide grin on Valene's face never fading as the Halfling stood and started looking over the door to the cell.

"The God Odin told a mortal of my fate? Who is this Cor you speak of?" Valene could hear in Majesty's voice her disbelieve.

"No really Cor's a Dwarf Knight Cleric, I think the only one, or maybe more then one, I don't know. He is co-leader of our party with my boyfriend Ulthok. Like I said we're here to rescue you" As she spoke a loud clank was heard and the cell door swung open. Moving quickly Valene was out into the cell block.

Majesty's surprise could not be hidden even for a Dragon and she quickly followed her out of the cell.

"How?" The Queen asked.

"How what?" replied Valene

"How did you open the cell door?" A smile a mile wide appeared on Valene's face.

"Magic, now lets hurry we need to find my friends." Grabbing the Queen's hand Valene led them out of the cell block room............

So Valene and the Queen have been wandering the castle since before we found the prison room.

The sound of our battle may draw them. Any have a Finding spell?

The bearer of the Last Word Sword always gets the last attack in melee and it always hits. Some do special damage. I'd have look back in the battle with Limper, I think the sword was detailed there.

Ulthok will pull the shadows off the butcher. I was thinking to sent one to Dark Whisperer just to see if she was really dead.

BTW-- These may be cursed swords and not the best weapon for good guys. But should be kept out of the hands of bad guys.

Ody the last part about Valene and the Queen is player knowledge. You and the party have no idea that Valene broke herself and the Queen out of that cage. As far as you know you still don't know where the Queen or Valene are.

Ulthok would believe they are alive. They weren't in the throne room as the Smiley infered, so Ulthok would run with that they are still free in the castle. I didn't directly reference the "Intermission".

Valene I could see him thinking she could be free. Her AND the Queen nope!. You have no knowledge that she even met the Queen as far as you know the Githyanki took Valene and possibly killed her.

In storey you have said enough to lead us to believe that they are alive and together.

For Siren her ability with magic had so far been an advantage few in this attack upon this flying castle had, and once more, it proved its worth. Moving first to the Orcs she calmly stood behind as first Ulthok then Roan began to question them. The thoughts and Images were strong at the mention of Valene and the one they called "The White Witch". The Orc leader in particular had the strongest of these. However as quickly as the images came they were gone, Rayne having blown the leaders head into nothing. Turning to scowl at her fellow Elf, so intent on the two yet living Orcs, that she failed to see it. With a quick recap of the images gained from the Orcs minds relayed she moved to the Dwarf as Cor begin his work.

For the party it could be said no news was good news. However, in this case knowing Valene was still alive and in the company of the Dragon Queen was a boost to everyone's morale. With Sirene giving Rayne free reign the Orcs were quickly dispatched, yet curiously the dark man was left alone.

This is what I ran with, perhaps I needed to show more how it is effecting Ulthok.

I arranged it better to reflect a man possessed better. It should read better to show how Ulthok is pushing closer and closer to the edge.

Due to some RP problems, namely proving the DM wrong, Ulthok is dead. Now as far as Odyson is concerned well I'm not talking to him so its all good. So who wants to create a new Halfling thief/mage named Uthloke

Oh you mortals are so amusing.

Our Grand DM may from time to time forget what he has written, but seeing all the ailments he has had to endure being able to recall everything from his massive cranium may be a bit challenging.

So we must remember to "gently" help him to recall the obsure facts that help color our tale of adventure.

So I shall endure the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune and rise once more. Or I'll just have more time to write in other tales.

Shall we hope that Crow doesn't need healing or is standing in the wrong place when a certain Cid's "Wand of Wonder's" button is pushed. Or Maximus needs a friendly Werebear Shaman to heal him or drag his sorry A** out of danger...AGAIN! I won't even mention J.C. and Wolf.

Sirene most likely needs some aid. Rayne might be a good choice also, it was her Aid spell that gave Sirene her strength to fight back.

Weaver would have been good to be the one to handle checking and finishing off Dark Whisperer. They have history and he would better what to expect from her. But that is Tann to NPC him for now.

Cor putting a blessing on Barreel before we gather his gear might be nice.

Careful young one lest you be branded a "rules lawyer" and shunned.
