Well, we need to do something. I'll want to post something for Lothor sometime tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon.
I have no idea off the top of my head what Lothor's wisdom is, but he is a man of action. Hopefully not stupid and misguided action, but action none the less. So he would do something.
But what? If let to him he would either chuck something at the tapestry or try to move/crush the skull. The thing is, I think the best (??) choice might be to destroy one of the items. Lothor could throw an axe at the tapestry, but that wouldn't destroy it, I suspect. He could smash the skull with a bench. (Avoiding using his sword which he kinda likes in case there are side effects - a problem with throwing the axe at the tapestry as well.) I would be inclined to want a fire spell on the tapestry - probably something simple like flaming hands or such. Low level, but doing something. But Lothor can't do that.

I am in accordance with removing the eyes from the skull. It may be some sort of scrying thing (my first thoughts anyways) and I prefer our characters discussion not to be heard by something. Since everything is covered in dust, maybe the cyclops (or other nasty thing) is in slumber, and maybe this is the magical trip wire? Too bad we don't have any way to leave some sort of sentries around, as I think the magical disruption would prevent any way to communicate in different rooms (aside from shouting really loudly, hahaha).

Change of plans
If you want me to change the post, let me know. But Lothor is going to do something.
I was going to try burning the tapestry, but want to stay farther away - I still think someone with fire at a distance should do so. (Or does it seem like the thing might like fire? The creature seems more Salamander like than anything else.) So Lothor will crush the skull. I'd say we do both. Or tell me to change the post.

I'm Good With It..........
We play'em as we see'em. Lothor is Lothor and you played him as you see him.
So now we see what happens.

Let's see what happens. Either the Wizard Sight or Skull Crushing will reveal something...

Got an idea maybe?
I could cast detect scrying on the skull, unless y'all WANT to crush it lol
I hadn't seen she had that spell before, so I'm good with using it if you like.

Wizard Sight
That should have been on her spell list. She memorized new spells after the last rest, posted on pg 345.
Sorry, I keep forgetting the source of that spell. I will make note for next time.

Hey! sorry for the complete lack of posts on my part.
Life the universe and everything got a bit busy the past week and I'm starting classes again this week so I might have to put a post off til the coming weekend.

anti-climactic
I guess Tann's description was spot on this time. Anti-climactic.
Ok, so the skull is down. Should we try the anti-skrying spell on the eyes? Somehow I doubt that is what is happening, but you never know.
Anyone want to take some sort of whack at the tapestry? Somebody make a post and do something. I'm stumped.

So Back To the Main Room.....
It's starting to look like we need to visit room after room until we find the one that moves us to the next level.
So Ulthok will gather up the gems and head back.

Sounds reasonable to me.
Back to look at other rooms it is.
Back towards the sarcophagus room, the torture chamber or the entrance?

@Nimu
WIZARD SIGHT
It's possible it was already cast as you do have a -1 to the number of spells memorized.
On top of that it's not listed in your spellbook so in truth you don't have that spell. However as you have used it a few times now and I did not know it was not in your spellbook before now I'll go ahead and add it as such.
See I'm a nice DM I bathe

I think we should head back to the tomb room. I do have the suspicion that we will have to see the torture room (or where it was) again before we rest.
If the rooms do shift on rests(/the time needed to rest), should we try to rest in one of them? See if it morphs around us or something else happens?
