I'll ask the GM some questions that may shed some light on why the door didn't open.

BTW did anyone state in game they were healing anyone? Might help. I only remember Cor suggest we rest and heal. A quick back post could save our bacon.

Christ how did I miss that. its on page 275 and is a 4th lvl spell clearly listed. I'm gonna have to go back to using the books more then the computer program as the comp program has no page numbers.

His intention was for us to know (figure out) the door broke from the freezing and quick thaw of the hinges from the hot fire spell. I told him as I read it seemed normal for a stuck / frozen door to slam shut and didn't get a clue of it possibly having broken mechanics when it was a magic operated door. I may have got it if there had been some sound or something when Ulthok tried the gems again.

He's allowing a mulligan and we shall discover that the door needs to be pried open.

BTW, from Sirene's spell on the door we should have noticed that the "Evil feeling" in the room was gone. Tann told me that the Evil was in a trap that would have sprung had we tried to open the tombs any other way than using the gems. We avoided a really ugly battle that some most likely would not have survived.

Ok as Ody said I'm calling a mulligan as I thought every one understood that though the lifting was magically induced to hold it up took braces.

As such no spells were cast and all spell changes are completed. I still however need any spell changes for Valene and Alyia. So Aletheia and Valene if you wish to make any changes get them in asap.

Well, I had been wondering about not sensing evil with that spell. And no, I had not noticed that the door was broken.

Tann - I am curious - if the door is open a crack, do we still notice intense cold coming from the gap?

To the crew - I guess it seems that we are now going to have to open the door manually. It will presumably be harder to close this time. We may want to be careful to not drop and shatter it. Lothor's hill giant strength should make this doable, so it is probably time to muscle up unless someone else has ideas. And he does need help balancing it. It can either be leaned on the side or we can only open it part way. Maybe. I'll wait to hear a bit more before I post.

Well my minds eye saw the door as swinging up to open and slamming down to close.

So I'd say the door is lifted, the party scrambles in and then it is lowered back into place. But we may need to try first to see how Tann says it works. It could have no pivoting and needs to be muscled aside. We have to try something first to find out. Ulthok has his ogre strength, he just can't lift very high.

We need to have healing spells cast too, no one said they case any healing on anyone.

I just noticed that Ulthok's stuff list is missing his Gauntlets of Ogre Power as a worn item. But he has them from the Core. So he will be using them to help move the door.

Still here. waiting on a little info about the crypt that Ody and I asked about before I post.

If we are unable to open the door with physical strength alone, do we have anything long enough or durable enough to act as a lever? This would allow us to generate far more strength.

Or, we could try to put some sort of handles on the door itself. This would (in theory) allow more of us to work on pulling it, especially if we attached rope or chains to it.

For no post this past Sunday. Been both angry and depressed since the Cowboys loss to Green Bay and been keeping to myself and have not been in a gaming frame of mind. However just like everything else disappointing through out my life I'll get over it and will post by Saturday.

Yes, I'm still here, and wanting to play. I apologize for my lack of play as I've had some personal issues I've had to deal with, and am still dealing with a few, but I feel this will be therapeutic for me. I hope y'all can forgive me.

Tann - am I able to change a few of Aliya's spells still? If not it's cool, I can do it during next rest. I will post after I know.

You can still change any spells you want to. You have not left the room or engaged in combat so yep
